Yes, there are pay phones in disney. In MK they are under the train station where the locker's are located and I think stroller rental is there too when you enter the park and I recall there being ones prior to entering on the right side of MK by the guest services window. I know that each of the other parks have them and they are usually as you enter the park by the locker rentals. Also the disney hotels have them in their lobby areas.

Okay, phone booth, you made me laugh, as all I could picture was superman jumping out of one

There are pay phones all over the parks - head for a bathroom and you will have a good chance of discovering a phone.

If it's a local number then you just need to put some change in it. If you need to phone farther afield you will probably want to by a card that has phone credit on it.

These I know they sell in machines under the train station in MK and probably elsewhere.

Not old, just vintage.
I believe the payphones in the hotels also have machines next to them that sell phone cards...international and domestic. They used to do this but im not 100% positive if its still the case or not.

Also, if you think you are really going to need a phone a lot while you are in DIsney (call tour operator, call home, emergencies, etc.) you many want to look into renting an international cell phone. I live in the US but I just recently went to Greece for two weeks and rented a cell phone for the time I was there. Its a pretty economical way to go. I think I would have spent more money if I had bought phone cards the whole time I was there. The company I used was planetphone.com. Private Message me if you want more info.

oh, and welcome to the boards!!!

Any Cast Member can direct you to a pay phone - have no fear! Buying a phone card in advance is a good idea - it will save you some time.

Have a great trip!

You might want to check with your cell phone company about international roaming. My current cell phone will work anywhere a cell phone will work in the world [of course, for a fee]. Any GSM phone should work.

If he just making a local call it would be cheaper to use a pay phone and pay the fifty cents or so.

Absolutely, it certainly isn't cheap, but might be convenient.
