Song Title Thread - Ground Rules

A couple of years ago, I went to an AARP convention in Atlanta. Part of the entertainment was Gary Puckett. I remember the song well, but, honestly when he performed it for us old fogies, all I could think about was 'there's a number one song about a pedophile'. Good thing we didn't always think that way in our youth otherwise there would be no number one songs.

Ha! :joyfull: Just an fyi: I saw Gary Puckett at the Flower and Garden Festival a few years ago. He was performing in the Flower Power concert series, at the outdoor theater in front of the American pavilion at EPCOT. Thought he put on a good show. (Luckily, when he sang, Young Girl, I didn't think the same thing you did! :hilarious: )

In all fairness, at the time that song came out, I didn't have two daughters. That perhaps influenced me to that thought. Would not have occurred to me when I was younger. I was just thinking then about a one, maybe two, year gap in ages. It sounded a whole lot different 48 years later. :jawdrop:
