Something to Ponder About Figment

Notice this is only in the current version...never an any prior versions. So corruption is on the new annoying "Figment", but not on our beloved, original Figment.

That, or they just wanted appeal with feminine merchandising (i.e. ballerina Figment T-Shirts).

Actually, if you look at in the ride, a REAL Figment is holding a Marrionette set of Female Figments. Therefore, this isn't Figment, but several small, cardboard cut outs of his idea of a "female" Figments of his imagination. Reminds me of My Fair Lady broadway CD cover... These are the "Figments" depicted in merchandising.

But it's safe to say both Figments are male.

Ok... so.. if we made Figment's "male anatomy" correct -- would that make you all believers that he is male? Or should we change his "male anatomy" to "female anatomy"?

You know, I really think that looking into the complex workings of sexual gender in a creature thought up by an imagineer is really not worth thinking about.

Just enjoy figment for who he/she/it is...darn! see what you've done!!

I agree with Sketch105--it's not about _what_ Figment is, but that Figment's still around. We should be counting our lucky stars that that little adorable creature couldn't even be destroyed by the accountants up in Disney management.

I am in college and have nothing better to do than to ponder the gender of my favorite WDW character! Nothing more, nothing less! What can I say... At least I'm not spending my free time drinking or doing drugs! (That's for the weekend j/k )

Besides, I was just trying to get everyone smiling and thinking...

heheh got me thinking. But, since I didn't answer.. I think the little dragon is a male. In terms of Disney, they seem to make the characters obvious, if they are female, by putting something associated with being feminine on them.
