Have you ever surprised your spouse/loved one/children with something at WDW that they didn't know about? Maybe a special reservation, or one of those in-room celebrations? If so, was it worth it? Did their surprise totally make the trip? The reason I ask is because I am looking into doing something for my wife and daughter when we go in October :):D THANKS

I purchased a "crabby" Donald Duck shirt at Mickey's Philharmagic and some Grumpy pants on Main Street and gave them to my wife at Christmas, she still wears them as "jammies."

I would still love a surprise from the Disney Florist :) Waiting.......
During our first trip to BW I was admiring a beautiful turtle charm @ the Wyland gallery- WAY out of our price range. Anyhow, while we were waiting for our ressie at Flying Fish, he excused himself to "go to the bathroom" walked over to Wyland and bought it! It is so beautiful, I wear it all the time and it reminds me of that trip-that moment :)

Surprises are what have made the Disney experience for my wife and I. In July, I suprised her by taking her on a boat onto the lagoon for a Wishes cruise. In the process of surprising her, I was surprised by Disney when we got there and they had updated my cruise from a pontoon boat to the Grand Yacht (someone cancelled their reservation) for no extra charge!! I proposed to her on the boat and she said yes!

Also, we just got back Sunday from our honeymoon, and during our stay last weekend I surprised her with reservations to Be Our Guest. I talked it up leading up to our trip about how hard it was to get a reservation there and we probably would only be able to look at the Beast's Castle from a distance. There are so many ways to surprise that special someone at the world!! It just takes a tiny bit of planning and effort, and Disney will provide the pixie dust.

Sometimes I go to WDW with Mom & Dad and play tour guide. It's a free trip for me. :) Anyway, they wouldn't let us kids make a big deal out of their 50th wedding anniversary. They planned a normal trip a few months later and asked me to go. My sister in Vegas arranged for Disney to have their room decorated at OKW and she showed up with her husband and surprised them during check-in. The OKW entrance guard said "Happy Anniversary" and my Mom was puzzled. We made them wear the buttons and the Mayor of MK made a big deal out of it when he saw the 50th buttons. He was awesome. Fun trip!

We're going for our 5th anniversary in August 2014, with my wifes' whole family. I just asked Disney if I could play "Lifes a Happy Song" (from the movie The Muppets) on piano outside of the Muppets Theater. NO DICE! Even though they own the song, there are "liability issues".

My other ideas are either asking the guy outside of Casey's to play it, seeing if I could get the Dapper Dan's to sing it (maybe even making me an honorary Dapper Dan for a day!), or playing it myself on one of the pianos in the lobby of a hotel. For the first two, the general guest services line said to call MK GS, and to speak to the hotel concierge desk about the pianos in the lobby. Anyone have any ideas of what to do?

When i went to wdw in 2011 for my honeymoon I surprised my husband with a scavenger hunt around Hollywood studios. I contacted a group at Disney (I can't think of the name right now) and they set up everything. They give you a questionnaire asking the persons favorite park, character, and interests.... They put all the clues around the park and at each clue is a gift. At the end you get a big gift--- since it was our honeymoon we got champaign and glasses delivered to our room.... Well worth the money seeing my husband get excited at each clue

My sister was running in the 5K last January. She had just lost a lot of weight and decided to make some changes in her life and do things she would never have had the courage to do before. Like enter the 5K. She lives in Vermont and I live in North Carolina. Without her knowing it I drove to Disney to see her finish her first "marathon". She was very surprised.
