Yes! My mom surprised me with a Contemporary room view overlooking the Magic Kingdom years ago! It was so exciting. Yet, she wasn't excited when I woke her up to tell her at 3 am that the Magic Kingdoms castle lights were still on...o_O

On our trip in May I surprised my wife with a birthday cake at dinner. We also surprised our kids with The Wild Africa Trek and water skiing on Bay Lake.

I surprised my Mom with dinner in the castle for her 86th birthday. We were sitting at a window table and were able to see the fireworks out our window. It was hard to keep the secret she kept wanting to eat earlier and saying she was hungry so we had a snack. Then she said she was full. I told her she better get hungry fast as we checked in for our dinner reservation at the castle. She loved everything! Now at 88 she still talks about it!

I surprised my hubby with Mickey CZ cuff links. He fell in love with them at the store (I can't remember the name? - It was on main street where all of the jewelry, purses, etc.) He couldn't put them down, but ultimately he couldn't justify the price when there were so many things the kids wanted. Conveniently, my son right as we were leaving said he had to go to the bathroom. So, I volunteered to take him and my DH said he and my DD were going to go ride the people mover and we could just meet them over there when we were done. So, I took my DS to the BR and since he was 2 at the time, there was no telling how long this would take. Luckily, it was really fast, so we just went right back to the store and bought the cuff links. My DH didn't know until I gave them to him on Father's Day. He was so surprised :)

We took my nephew back in 10' when he was 6, and we surprised him in the beginning with a phone call at the house about a week to go, from the mouse himself! And then we did a In room surprise since it was his first time at the World....he absolutely loved it, as much as we loved setting it up for him.

My husband surprised me with a package from Disney Florist on our honeymoon. It was a glass slipper & tiara on a bed of flowers. Very sweet! I have in turn used the Cake Hotline twice to surprise him with birthday cakes. All of these things were great, and well worth it!

@Alyssajl - my husband also used Gifts of a Lifetime to set up a scavenger hunt for me in the MK! This was also on our honeymoon. It started with an envelope w/my name on it at Cinderella's wishing well, and went from there. I was so surprised, and had no idea what was going on. The end was at Pirates of the Caribbean, and there was a treasure chest filled w/little trinkets, and some pixie dust. This was my favorite surprise. :)

Have you ever surprised your spouse/loved one/children with something at WDW that they didn't know about? Maybe a special reservation, or one of those in-room celebrations? If so, was it worth it? Did their surprise totally make the trip? The reason I ask is because I am looking into doing something for my wife and daughter when we go in October :):D THANKS

We surprised our adult daughter with a set of Mickey Mouse Kitchen Utensils in an MM base on her birthday. It was put in her room while we having breakfast at the castle. If I remember correctly, it included some flowers and balloons. It's wasn't cheap, but she was surprised and still has the utensils on her kitchen counter.
