No, the new Dumbos spin the opposite direction, so the elephants face the opposite direction and the opening is on the opposite side of the elephant.

Yeah but both the original set and half of the current set spin counterclockwise. Looking at details like the curl of his trunk and the creases of his hat the old and current counterclockwise dumbos look identical. That doesn't mean they reused them but it's interesting nonetheless.
