Some one driving on Richard Petty track tonight.

When we were leaving the park tonight their was a car driving on the Richard Petty Experience track. Is this normal? Or was someone about to get into deep doo doo? This was at about 10:45 by the way.

It was one of the bus drivers. After their shift is over, they are so frustrated at having to drive so slow all day, they want to bust it loose and drive a real vehicle. VROOOM VROOOOM

Could it possibly be NASCAR drivers? I remember reading somewhere that a few drivers may use the track as practice. Given that the track is open during the day for sales, classes, etc. A high-profile driver using it at night makes sense.

Nascar drivers for the most part test during the week, not weekends. This track also seems to be used less and less for testing of the big three Nascar divisions. If I was sleeping at the Poly and was awaken by the sound of a car at that time, I would be a unhappy camper.
