Some First Timer Questions

Hi all,

Just starting to get into the details of our first trip to DL! As always, the Disneyland.com website is letting us down a bit so I would appricate help.

We will be there for the 3rd - 6th April and the calendar so far has nothing listed. Looking earlier in the year (Feb) the information seems sketchy.

The site gives very few details about the entertainment and show schedules. I am aware that fantamic and the fireworks (sorry, I forget the name of the DL one) aren't on every night but at the minute it seems to be pretty random.

The things we really want to see are:
  • Fantasmic (with it's new, fancy projectors!)
  • Fireworks
  • The Alladin show
We also want to book a few ADR's but we dont want these to clash with the shows. We will definatly be going to Blue Bayou but would like some opinions on the following:
  • Wine County Trattoria
  • Ariels Celebration (is this similar to CRT, we have no kids so don't really know if its appropriate)
  • Any other suggestions in each park or in DTD
Thanks for your help!

Entertainment-wise, everything should be playing.

Aladdin's usually dark on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Fantasmic and Remember...Dreams Come True (the Fireworks show) usually play on the weekends. (You'll be there Friday to Monday, correct?)

As far as the dining I can't say much because I rarely eat anywhere else other than Redd Rocket's Pizza Port.

Thanks for this info.

I will be there Friday - Monday during a busy time of the year so I hoped that everything would be on. I just hope it's not too busy.

Thanks again

Weekends at Disneyland are crowded any time of year. Just use FASTPASS, eat at off times, and get there early. That should help.

We've eaten at Ariel's. The location is not as nice as the castle of course, and I'm not sure what the view from the windows or outside table is going to be with the lake drained, but the princesses were great. The little girls in our party all loved it.:)

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies is a fun place for lunch at Disneyland.

White Water Snacks at the Grand Californian is usually empty and a great place for a quick lunch or dinner. You can go through the Grand Californian entrance in DCA.

It you think of any more specific questions, just ask!:)
