Some Dream Squad Questions.

I've seen the DS in the four parks in WDW and I was wondering about a few things. Do they do any other areas other than the parks (i.e resort hotels, water parks, the Downtown area) or are they limited just to the parks. What is their schedule? I've seen them early in the morning and early afternoon, but I never seen them at night or emh nights. I would love to be leaving the park after Wishes, Fantasmic, or Illuminations and to be picked by the DS for a prize. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

They also give out prizes at Downtown Disney. They give out the castle stays and faspasses in the morning. I have read somewhere that they are done by 5:00, but I'm not sure where I heard that?:)

Yes when we were staying at our resort a lady rewarded a family with a limo ride to the airport. They were pretty happy! She talked to us for about 10 minutes then they walked out and she went over to them. Bummer I tell you. Well good for them but i would have been happy if it was us too.lol.

I didn't think the resorts were included in the locations for official prizes? They are definitely giving away unofficial dreams there, like upgrades and limo rides etc. But I don't think they are giving any of the million prizes. I didn't see the resorts listed in the locations in the rules.

I could be totally wrong.:)

I'm afraid that I don't know the particulars. Once, I was riding the resort monorail and two Dream Squad members stepped into the car I was in. During my conversation with them, they mentioned that they were sent to the resorts occasionally.

Giving out prizes isn't the only job of the Dream Squad members. They're also out in the parks as a sort of roving Guest Services CM, answering questions, granting some of the "unofficial" dreams and surprises, etc.

Most prizes are given away before 5PM to allow for the use of the prize. (Who'd want to get a Dream FastPass 30 minutes before the park closed?) So I'd guess that most of those CMs have a set 9-5 work schedule.

Dream Squad is there from park open to park close. They are "super greeting," walking around and talking to people, when they aren't giving away prizes. While they aren't statused to a resort, some of the Magic Kingdom Dream Squad might end up giving away a prize or two over there. For the most part they stick to theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney as other people have mentioned.

There isn't anything you can do while on property to increase your chances of getting a prize. It doesn't help to stalk the Dream Squad. It is a completely random computer generated issue. Now you can receive Magical Moments by being nice and sweet to some cast members. For example because friends of mine were wearing a specific baseball team's jerseys, the guys at Astro Orbiter let them be among the dozen people that get to watch wishes from the Orbiters. They received a Magical Moment certificate afterwards. You can show up REALLY early to a park to be the first family and receive a Magical Moment certificate. But please don't stalk the Dream Squad.

A good tip to try and win some of the prizes such as Dream Ears and Dream Fastpasses is be at the parks for opening and do something other then the main attractions. In DAK they seem to always give one of those two prizes either on one of the walking paths or over in Dino-rama. Also walk different paths, if everyone is running through the Castle walk around it by the wishing well. I have learned one thing about the Dream Squid(it's a joke) they are never where you think they will be.

The place I won DreamEars at Disneyland (yes, California) was on a side path near the castle. The dream squad was literally standing there waving the ears around like crazy, trying to get people's attention. No one was noticing them as they were just off to the side of the main path.
