Trip Report solo live trip report

Hello I’m Concetta and I’ve posted trip reports before but it’s been a while. We haven’t stopped going to Disney, it’s more because as my kids have gotten older it’s been hard to find time to write these trip reports. This time though….I'm solo! Originally it was going to be a short trip for my family of four with the goal of Disney Springs and Dole Whips because on our last trip in September we did neither. Unfortunately, our daughter Sadie had gotten sick a couple weeks ago and is near the max allowed for missed school days (in Indiana if you miss 10 days in the school year without a doctors note they report you to child services-she missed 5 in September for our last Disney trip and is currently sitting at 8 missed school days) and our son's first tournament basketball game is tonight. So after discussing with my husband, I decided that I was going to go alone. I was still on the fence about whether or not I was actually going to go through with it until last night. Tomorrow is my only full day at Disney and I am not 100% sure what I will be doing but my goal is completing the 4 parks 1 day challenge because I have always wanted to do it but no one else in my family does. My goal will be at least one ride, one snack/meal, and a photo with the park icon for each park. My quick math shows me that I will have about 3 hours at each park and about 30 minutes for transportation.
My friend/co-worker will be taking me to the airport today around 2pm for my 4:36pm flight and I am scheduled to land around 7pm tonight. Since I am going solo, I decided that the safest and cheapest option for transportation to All Star Movies is with Mears. No one in my family other than my husband and kids know I am doing this trip so I will not be posting on social media, which means this trip report will be my only update to the world.

just arrived at the airport! Grabbed a Dr Pepper to enjoy before getting to the Dr Pepper desert we call the Disney bubble.

I also grabbed a big water bottle so I can have one for tomorrow that I can refill. This might be the first time I’m not doing a grocery delivery of some sort. It’s only me so why would I need more than water and dole whips haha

This trip will help me complete a stay at every Walt Disney World Value resort. Next trip will be at Caribbean Beach or POR French Quarter because those are the two remaining moderate resorts on our list.

About to board my flight….gotta ask everyone, are you a get on the plane as soon as possible person or a wait til the flight is almost full to get on? My family is a wait to almost the end of boarding to get on the flight. I don’t like getting on the plane and sitting in the small seats just waiting for everyone else to get on. See ya in Orlando!

I like that you have Disney goals to accomplish. 😀 Have a great time and good luck going to all 4 parks in one day.

My flight was scheduled to land at 7:02, it landed at 6:28 and I got to Mears connect at 6:52, on a bus by 6:53, bus started moving at 7:01, we stopped to pick up at terminal C for about 3 minutes, and we made drop offs at Pop, Caribbean, Coronado, music, and then to movies. Of course I was the one and only going to movies and it was the last stop. I’ve never taken Mears before mostly because I don’t like the idea of having to deal with other drop offs. Uber/Lyft’s downfall is the wait for them to arrive. I arrived to movies at 8:05. While I feel like it took a little longer to get to my hotel, I feel like it is a safer way to travel when solo. Looks like I’m in the Love Bug section.

As soon as I got to movies, I went straight to the dining hall. I was hungry and I had salmon on my mind. I usually get the kids version but I was hungry enough for the adult meal. It was amazing!

Once I ate as much as I wanted, I grabbed my favorite Disney drink! A Pina Colava!

Gosh this adult Disney life is fun!
With my drink in hand I headed back to the check in desk to purchase the park hopper for tomorrow and get a celebration button for 4 parks 1 day challenge. I felt bad because my son called me while the CM was checking me out to tell me that they won their first tournament game. That means I get to see him play on Thursday night when I get home! They were on their way to Culver’s to celebrate the win! My mother-in-law sent me this picture from his game…he’s #2.

after getting my celebration button and park ticket, I headed to the gift shop to buy toothpaste. We used our last travel size when my husband and I went to Nashville last month and I didn’t have time to stop before the flight. I was surprised that it was only $1.99 for the travel size. With my drink in hand, I headed to my room.

I unpacked my backpack, got my park bag ready for tomorrow, plugged everything in that needed charged, iron my wrinkled dress I’m wearing tomorrow, and got ready for bed. I’m so excited for tomorrow! I’m looking forward to hopefully having some good conversations with Disney strangers, accomplishing the challenge, but I already miss my kiddos. I’m going to call them to tell them the same thing I tell them every night before bed “angels watch over you and God keep you safe, mommy loves you, night night”

I was 6th in line to go through security. Got through with no problem until I heard a security guy yelling “lady in the purple dress” when I was about to walk under the animal kingdom sign. Apparently I set off the metal detector but the guy wasn’t looking and I was already through. It’s weird because I was holding my sunglasses and battery pack in my hand and the other thing I have in my bag is my wallet, sunscreen face stick, and pill case. After he searched my bag, he said “well sometimes the celebration buttons set it off” and let me on my way. I’m currently waiting to get into the park.

Hoping to get on flight of passage but we’ll see!
