Oh man no TT or Soarin!!!
Let the Drinking Around the World Begin :ROFLOL:
AMEN to that!!

What? How could it be closed indefinitely with no warning and no explanation? I find that entirely too far-fetched to believe, especially considering Epcot is down a major e-ticket already.
If this is actually true (and I'm inclined to disbelieve it until photos and more confirmations are posted) and they're switching the video to a "world" theme, Disney would've made a huge deal out of it. Soar'n IS ALL NEW! COME SAIL OVER THE WORLD NOW! That sort of thing.
If anything, if true, they likely realized just how bad the current film conditions are and finally decided to give them a good dusting and cleaning. Or it's just completely 101!

We already have an insight confirmation!
Chances are its a technical difficulty and they are afraid it may affect DCA's Soarin also
It's definitely not a refurb or it would have been listed. Maybe when someone heard "indefinitely" they just meant for today....as in, we don't know if it will re-open today.
All I know is that there was a safety issue that has caused both Soarin's to be shut down.
Apparently there was an incident that could have been disastrous, but wasn't.
It's a seat belt issue - some guest messed with it and tripped a whole series of issues so they are in the process of replacing all of them at DL and WDW.
Heard some chatter about OSHA being involved...
Doesn't OSHA only get involved when it's a safety issue for workers?
Yes. OSHA protects employees - hence "Occupational Safety and Health Administration/Act". I'm guessing the OSHA comment was hearsay or someone jumping to conclusions. People like to throw around OSHA whenever anything breaks.
Unless it hurts a worker, or poses a threat to a worker, OSHA should have no jurisdiction.
It took this long, then, for a seatbelt issue to come up--requiring both rides to be shuttered and "fixed"?
If so, OSHA would have to be involved for Disney to unexpectedly close both rides down with no warning. Because otherwise, I would've thought an improvement/fix would be scheduled with a refurb.
