Soarin' Queue Music Question

Hey everyone! I know, I know, this might be in the wrong place, but I wanted to get peoples attention here, if anyone knew anything about this. Anwyays, I wanted to know the music from the Soarin' queue, and what I mean by the Soarin' queue as in from the point you enter, until the blue hallway after the blue hallway, I have the music for that. From what I and my friends have noticed, is some fo the music they use in the queue (me and some of my friends are classical music afficionados), and this si the 4 music pieces I heard when I was waiting, in the order I heard them:

1) Main Title of Apollo 13 - James Horner
2) Flight to Neverland (from the movie Hook) - John Williams
3) The Flying Circus (from The Rocketeer, as heard in the Fountain of Nations, and the Space Mountain's outside queue in DLRP)
4) Main Title from the movie, The Last Starfighter- Craig Safan

If anyone else knows the rest of the music, or if anyone recommends sending a e-mail to Guest Relations, please tell me how to.

Thanks for the help!

FJ

I`m sure someone will come up trumps.

Guest relations seem to like obscure questions - they even deviate from the set comments on replying. It may take a week ot two, but in the past they have helped me with exact dates for American Adventure`s 1993 rehab, the launch system on RnRC and sponsor details / pavilion lighting info for Laserphonic Fantasy and IllumiNations.

I know I heard the theme from Battlestar Galatica (the original t-v series, I don't know if the new series uses the same one) as well as a piece from either Gettysburg (my son thinks) or Gods and Generals (I think)

I also heard the Galactica theme (nicely re-orchestrated I might add - not just a retread of the original TV version), Last Starfighter, the theme from Explorers, a track from The Right Stuff possibly, and I believe I heard Legends of the Fall, but could be wrong on that one, plus a few others that I recognized as Jerry Goldsmith stuff, but couldn't place them. I actually wanted to get more info on the tracks but doubted that guest relations would have had them available back in the first week of May. I'm sure they do now.

Remember when Disney used to write their own music for attractions? I sure don't remember hearing music from any movie on Universe of Energy, Horizons or even Kitchen Kabaret. I'm not knocking the music they chose, but do they really have to take such an obvious shortcut?

Great job getting that info! Do you mind if I add it to the Disney Music Loops site, and see if someone out there can help fill in the other stuff?

xfkirsten- Once I get the official info on the queue music loop, I will put it on here for you or anyone to have. That will be no problem.

marni1971- Thansk for giving me the address. That will help with a lot of things in the future. Thanks!

FatBoy976- Yeah, I have been noticing that with new attractions, BUT I did think that Soarin' was to have its own Queue Music, original to the ride, but I think those plans went kaput after the composer fo the music for both the Queue and ride over at DCA's version Jerry Goldsmith, died during the development of this version of Soarin', so I think that's why they didn't put any origianl music.

Everyone else- Thanks for all the input! I will put the official list when it comes. Thanks again!

Umm....I don't want to be the pest, but...how long does it usually take Disney Online to answer the submitted questions? Is it the usual 3-5 days thing, or longer? I'm just getting a little worried that they didn't recieve it, LOL. Thanks!

You should have got the auto reply email as soon as. Depending on the question, I`ve waited upto a fortnight (for a very detailed response)

All "queries" to Disney first get routed to the right general area (in this case, the online folks actually have to send it to the park folks, if the email addy didn't do that in the first place), so for your sake, it has to goto Guest Communications ("Guest Services" for anyone not at WDW). They decide if they can legally even read the letter, then research and respond.

The research part is where time gets eaten.

The letter is probably on its way to the operations managers at the attraction. Most likely the answer will come from Disney Archives which knows most everything, or they'll just have to ask Imagineering. If anything, it's on the to-do list of someone at Epcot right now.

Okay, can someone officially help me with this? Disney STILL hasn't gotten back to me, and it's been over three weeks. The ironic thing is, I asked them for other types of info, and they gave me that in a day, while this STILL hasn't been figured out by them for three straight weeks. So, if anyone can help with this, that would be very appreciated!
