Soarin Knockoff....

Busch Gardens may of built a safari based themed attraction after Disney has opened theres, and some people consider it a knock off even though besides the fact that they both have drivers for jeeps around animals the similarities end.

Also, what do you think Animal Kingdom Park is a knock off of?

I enjoy AK better, but it was only created/approved because of how successful Busch Gardens' concept down the road was going.

Exactly!! Disney has definitely done their share of "knocking off" other parks' attractions and concepts. To name just a few...

-DAK (knock off of Busch Gardens)
-DHS (knock off of the original Universal Studios concept... the one in CA)
-Splash Mt. (knock off of Knott's Berry Farm's Timber Mountain Log Ride)
-Pretty much everything in Paradise Pier at DCA (knock offs of various amusement park rides)

Even Soarin' itself was not a unique concept when it opened. The idea of projecting a film onto a domed screen to simulate motion has been around for a very long time and has been used countless times in amusement attractions. Even the original Back to the Future attraction at Universal used that concept (as does the current Simpsons Ride).

Except, when Disney did it, it was always better. ;)
