It appears that posters can't help making silly remarks about possible choices, so most can stay. Edited to add, some political/social issues remarks not allowed were deleted.
Dang it all. Was just skimming along the post tops and so happy to see the discussion hadn't degenerated into typical American political bafoonery but seems like maybe it. (Mom, this isn't a political statement. It's an anti-political statement. Also, I'm hungry. What do we have to eat?)

Yeah…the squirrel hill approach at night is awesome as you bend around Oakland…the daytime from the Ft Pitt is just great

Small city but a great view…and unlike my parents/grandparents view…you can actually see more than 4 feet in front of your face

Who’da thunk we agree on stuff? 🫣
Strange happenings in strange times.

Indeed, far different views from grandparents/parents times. Even I miss how alive the mills made the city and surrounding towns feel. Kinda sad when I go back and the mills and factories are no longer there.

I hear that…Century 3 on a Saturday in December held some of my best memories

Packed from open to close…the decorations in Kaufman’s, gimbels, hornes…good times with good people

I can see why folks would choose NYC as iconic as it hosted a wave of European immigration but that was just a point in time. Plenty of other ports of entry like New Orleans and San Francisco were hosts to other waves and still more peoples were already here.
