The thing I took out of this is I'm glad to see DC finally embracing the gallery of options they have at their disposal.

I'm definitely one of those folks who liked both Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman - I can see they aren't perfect but the hate they get I honestly don't understand. Tonally the trailer looks like a proper continuation of that style and I'm glad we get to see the proper Justice League chapter as previously intended.

Suicide Squad looks like a ton of fun - I'm so excited for that, and Wonder Woman also looks like it's got that same bright color pallet to it.

It's just a trailer but The Batman looks like the closest thing I've seen to The Long Halloween in live-action, which is one of my favorite Batman stories. The idea it's coming out in October also helps as well. A noir-mystery film that can just tell its own story.

The Batman looks like the Batman movie I've always wanted. Definitely getting that Long Halloween vibe. Some people are already speculating that the masked killer at the beginning of the teaser is actually Hush and not Riddler, which is even more intriguing to me.

Also, Black Adam is going to have Hawkman and Doctor Fate, which is something that I didn't know I wanted.

I just watched The Batman trailer. I was already hyped for Batinson but now I'm really excited. I think it's going to be a take on Batman we haven't seen before on the silver screen and despite how gritty it looks, it also looks like it knows that a superhero movie doesn't have to be 100% grimdark serious unlike certain other DC movies *cough*BvS*cough*SnyderCut*cough*

Count me among those excited coming out of DC Fandome.

WW84 - Was already looking forward to this and the trailer didn't really change my thoughts from the first. To me the biggest obstacle will be pulling of K. Wiig as full on Cheetah mode. Got a glimpse of her but want to see more. As long as its not too Catsish, should be great (sorry @AceAstro )

SS - looks really, really fun from the early look. They kept the best characters from the first and added a ton of wacky, obscure characters (1/2 of whom are likely DOA). This feels like Guardians but even more over the top, and grittier with plenty of opportunities for great character bits. Makes sense with JG running the show. I'm not a huge comics guy but it already prompted me to order SS vol 1 and 2 from John Ostrander

Batman - had no expectations here. Love batman, but was worried his story gets beaten to death with all the incarnations. Dont want to get too hyped, but i freaking loved this trailer (from only 25% filming no less). The tone and direction this looks to be headed was so different and instantly sucked me in. Remains to be seen on R.P. but man. Wow. And man, Colin Farrel. Unrecognizable.

Flash movie - flash point, multiple batmans. Yes please.

Justice League - no idea what to think here. Certainly eager to see the addl footage and put all this to bed, but hard to say the end result is going to approach great. TBD.

Gotham Knights/SS video games - characters and set up look phenomenal. Big wait and see on the actual game play.

PS
I would totally love to work on a Suicide Squad E ticket attraction.

I assumed this was the "REAL" Direct that everyone was so stoked to get dropped this Friday. The one that game journalists across the industry were putting money on as being the first real Direct in a year? Yea...this is EXACTLY why any Nintendo rumor goes in one ear and out the other for me until I hear it directly from the company.

That being said, Puyou Pop Tetris 2 is still perhaps the most exciting game announcement I've gotten all year :p

Another wonderful video, Pi! I like how you scaled back your focus from a full park to a tiny area, but gave it just as much attention and love. You have a real talent for highlighting overlooked areas of the parks and making them shine. I never thought of Camp Mickey Minnie as anything more than ridiculously long lines for meet n' greets, but you hit the nail on the head on why the small budget actually worked in its favor. The original version of the land feels more like Camp Snoopy at Knott's than anything else, and that is NOT a bad thing!

I will say...I'm NOT a Festival of the Lion King fan. Not by a long shot. The fan interaction kills me. I probably would have loved it when I was a younger. Now as an adult when I go into these shows I simply want to sit down for a half hour and have a passive but impressive experience. That's why Nemo for me is the best production I've ever seen in a theme park. Festival is a really creative use of a hodge-podge of assets, but Old Man Tiki just doesn't have the energy levels needed to really engage with it anymore haha.

Attractions I flat out won't do because of fan interaction are Epic Stunt Spectacular and Laugh Floor. ESS I got terribly bored waiting for the actual stunt stuff to come up as they spent endless time with the "extras" shenanigans. Laugh Floor I didn't even make it through a full show. Just walked out five minutes in like "nope...not for me...'

The Batman looks like a solid Batman movie. Of all the Batman things I've seen, that sure is one of them. It is Batman again. It doesn't stand out to me as anything beyond "another batman." But it looks like a solid enough entry. There is just so much Batman. This was the third movie featuring Batman at this conference with the third actor plus a batman video game and a Suicide Squad game in the same universe as the batman games starring a batman villain and a Suicide Squad movie also starring a batman villain. It's a lot of batman. This will be a great movie I'm sure. But nothing made it stand out to me. I'm more excited for the other Batmen.
Since you weren’t already sold on Batman I think I have a solution: The Batman Trailer with the audio of the CATS trailer...

Thanks!!!

I'll admit, I'm not usually crazy about being asked to participate either. Festival gets a pass from me because a lot of the people I've gone to parks with get super into it and that makes it more fun. Or I can just hang out in the back and enjoy the energy of the room without getting involved myself (much like I did at parties as an awkward middle schooler). But Nemo is a very close second and easily the best traditional show I've seen!

HOW THE HELL DOES THAT WORK SO FREAKING WELL. IT AINT RIGHT, I TELLS YA! IT AINT RIGHT!!!

Seriously though, as a big fan of "Dark Side of Oz" style syncs, this is actually really hilarious. I can't believe how great it flows together.
