Based on what the insiders have been saying on the other side of the forum currently Universal is “scrambling” to fit Nintendo World into KidZone. With DK acting as a phase two to save on costs and to allow for the Orlando Nintendo World to open quicker.

The rest is me spitballing and not saying anything an insider has said.

Id imagine HTTYD is going to be scrapped by them if they even get to working on Epic Universe again. While luckily (if you can call it that) Fantastic Beasts has three more films, and given that they’ll probably be delayed due to Hollywood releasing the 2020 slate into 2021 and the ammount of delays that will cause. Fantastic Beasts could poteniallh open alongside the last one in the franchise which by then could have righted the ship.

The last land on the table is Monsters, again as luck will have it this is the only land that truly is classic and could fir anywhere. They could leave it as Epic Universe fodder, or rework it to replace an area in World Expo at Studios or Lost Contintent which starting next week will be operating with 0 attractions.

I believe there were some stand a lone attractions planned as well in the plans for Epic Universe? If true they could throw that to World Expo in the Fear Factor Live spot which is going dark soon as well.

Given what Fear Factor is like, I think the cheapest option for them would be to take that How to Train Your Dragon stunt show they had planned and use that to replace Fear Factor. Either that or rework the Shrek 4D theater into a stunt show arena.

Getting Mario faster should definitely be a priority. If it was being pushed as an anchor for a new park and then not opening until like 6 years after other versions it wouldn't really look good.

Outside of Mario, none of the lands seemed like big must do exciting draws to me. Cool stuff, but nothing that feels like it has a huge "wow" factor. A THIRD Harry Potter land based on the least exciting movies, a land based Dreamworks third best trilogy (Madagascar is great, fight me @TheOriginalTiki!), and a solid filler land based on old movies (I see this as the Frontierland of the park. No one goes to Disney for Frontierland).

As if my posts were any indication, only two lands stood out to me: Nintendo and Universal Monsters. The Fantastic Beasts area really doesn't impress me, and How to Train Your Dragon, although a wonderful film series, feels like one of those film franchises that only deserves one epic ride, not a full land.

Plus, I just remembered this: One big reason why I think Universal Monsters could serve as a replacement for Toon Lagoon is because of its close proximity to Skull Island: Reign of Kong. Kong, of course, is one of the greatest movie monsters of all, so he'd naturally compliment the likes of Dracula and Frankenstein and the Gill-man and so forth. I can easily see them turning Bilge-Rat Barges into a Black Lagoon ride; and them getting rid of Dudley Do-Right or the amphitheater for the planned dark ride.

I think I’d enjoy it, I just dont have easy access to it right now 😅
Hopefully before the world ends a virtual console gets added onto the switch would love to play some plder games.
The lack of any virtual console for 64 and GameCube is just ridiculous. I'm not spending almost 200 bucks on a used copy Paper Mario and the 1000 Year Door, but I'd spend 20 dollars on a digital version in a heart beat. But that's not an option, so I go to the Dolphin

That would be perfect! And then they could move the Jurassic Park gate back to solve the issue of King Kong not fitting into the land. Of course, that would ruin the "Bridges divide all the lands since they are each supposed to be individual islands" theme of the park, but they already gave that up with Hogsmede.

Question of the Day
Who has some good book recommendations?
I'm not too far into it yet, but I'm enjoying it so far

Ghost Hunters Adventure Club and the Secret of the Grande Chateau by Dr Cecil HH Mills

Dr. Mills is actually a fictional failed mystery author who is being forced by his publisher to write a Hardy Boy's style book. So, it has this meta narrative mixed in with the tongue in cheek mystery.

In actuality it's written by Arin Hanson from Game Grumps. So, it has some pretty decent comedy so far. If you like light reading and grew up with encyclopedia brown or Nancy drew

I've been in the middle of reading Full Throttle, which is a new short story collection by Joe Hill. I've become a fan fast of his work, and this latest collection has some great tales.

Something that folks might not be as familiar with is Callahan's Crosstime Saloon, written by Spider Robinson. It's a sci-fi short story collection tied to the central location of Callahan's Place, which is basically Cheers if it had served as a gathering place for intergalactic and interdimensional beings along with regular joes. There's a warm atmosphere to it, and it is just filled with puns.

Bad news. I have nothing of Broadway in my archive. The most I could find was an intro that lead to a closed website. PLEASE backup your completed project to a google doc if you're going to use a site for your presentation. Free sites are not permanent. Google, for better or for worse, is.
