Dear Contestants,

Just a friendly reminder that "So, You Want to be an Imagineer Season Fourteen" is not necessarily a season to be based in strategy or drama. We understand that this being an online competition, things are naturally poised to come with alliances, strategies, gameplay and so on. However, I'd like to emphasize the intention of this particular season - FUN.

Please, do not lose sight of SYWTBAI's original intent; a welcoming, friendly environment where anyone and everyone can partake in a creative match for the mind and senses. All 21 contestants have the chance to win and quite frankly, there are no losers in SYWTBAI. Be kind, work together and have these projects in by Tuesday, February 14th.

Regards,

Management

Important Update:

From this point onward, Tiki and I will decide on the nominations for elimination. This was not a decision we wanted to make, but one we ultimately had to come to for the sake of the season.

Once again, I will reiterate to stay clear of drama and unnecessary stress. This is NOT what we had intended for Season 14.

If you have any questions, please message @TheOriginalTiki or myself. Thank you.

Strategy and alliances are becoming a continued problem. Let me reiterate...because of the rule change, you're not going to be able to just nominate whoever you want. Therefore, when I wake up today and see that not only has the strategy continued, but there's now a big "hit list" going around (yea, I don't care about not calling people out or keeping stuff secret anymore...) This absolutely NEEDS to stop.

From now on, were putting a permanent ban on alliances and strategy this season. If you continue to form "hit lists" and target people simply for being active, we'll have no choice but to eject you from the game entirely. This whole situation has gotten WAAAY too out of hand and is not in any way close to resembling any strategy I would have tried to pull off. The constant strategy, alliances, and messaging people stops NOW. If you want to win and make it far, do it by being a great Imagineer and being active on your team's brainstorming thread.

I'm sorry it's gotten to this point, but we've tried playing nice for three days now and were still in the exact same situation. This ENDS today...

Unfortunately, we're going to have to step in and put an end to this ongoing nonsense before it gets further out of hand. I understand that many of you may not know what's going on, and that's okay, but to those who do, please listen. This is vital information.

Folks, this is not something we wanted to do. But you have left us with no choice.

From this point onward, alliances or strategies with the purpose of eliminating one or more contestant(s) will not be tolerated in Season 14. Once again, these alliances and strategies will NOT be tolerated. We are at a breaking point here... If this continues, we will more than likely have to end the season, and no one wants that to happen.

Drama is NOT something we wanted this season, and unfortunately, we have it anyways. Please, just be kind and play the game. :) To those who have been under the air of paranoia and frustration these past couple days, I apologize. Know that we're on your side and are working to turn the season around before it's too late. Thank you. Any questions may be privately messaged to Tiki or myself.

I can't really speak for everyone, but in my opinion (and is imagine many others) it is better to talk about problems than scheme to get people out.

Other than the couple rounds of the Creator's games, this is my first team based comp. And I'm not the only newer player. I've been rather active because I really am enjoying this and because I try to keep my team focused and moving forward (which I think we have been focused and I like to think I've helped with that and kept us on the same page). If people feel I am taking over the game or too active, please tell me and I'll change my approach.

I'm sure other players who are perhaps also overexcited or overactive would also appreciate a heads up. That way we can become better players and better members in the board. Plotting to knock people out for something as easily remedied as posting too much or whatever just discourages newer members from wanting to be involved going forward.

Completely agree. You should NEVER feel like you're doing too much in this game. Activity and dedication are how you win the game, not what gets you kicked out. At least that's how it should be. Don't feel bad about how much you're posting, Pi. Keep on doing what you're doing. The more activity from EVERYONE in the cast, the better. Don't ever think you're doing too much. :)

A further word to those responsible ;)

You're one of the rising stars and leaders of the forum (if not already) -- even with such a small sample size you're already being an excelling leader and team player just from what I've seen...I wouldn't change your approach:)

Frankly...we've run into these problems before, but I've never seen it escalate this quickly into a game. I think taking that out of the game is the best approach by Tiki/MEW that way the best player wins in the end!:bookworm:

Except for Season 13;)

(kidding)...I'm over it:p

To be fair though, like you said these types of things can happen in games but usually it doesn't start happening until MUCH further on down the line. Even with the Disneyson situation in season eight though I knew he was a big threat I didn't act on it until the fourth project because I didn't want to just cut his team off at the knees right off the bat. This whole situation just blew up out of nowhere, and in a season where the whole point of hyping it up pre-game was a lack of strategy and a return to celebrating creativity and dedication that this game should be founded on. Things like this make me regret ever having done the whole "Mastermind Speech" in season eight.

I'd like to thank all of you for handling this on a mature and reasonable level. I cannot reiterate enough how little we want the focus of this season to do with drama or strategy. Seriously, folks, we don't need it. I've seen other competitions crash and burn due to situations such as this, and sorry, but Tiki and I have worked far too hard to provide the best season possible for you.

Again, thank you everyone for cooperation, patience, and understanding.
