I can also confirm what MEW is confirming ( ;) ) The final vote is really up to each individual jury member and much like Survivor there's no set in stone rule for how you're voting other than you want to vote for the person you'd most like to see win. What your criteria is for people deserving the win will vary from juror to juror :)

Hey thanks for reviewing mine, I wasn't expecting that haha. I'd actually like to see BlueDragonFive do more reviews for these. For someone brand new to all of this, he picks up the details very well and is always a strong speaker.

Also just a question about the final project, is the jury voting for who had the better final project, or based on the overall game? I'm only asking because those could lead to two different outcomes :p

I agree Dragon was very classy and gracious to do this on such short notice, bone-headed move on my part completely forgetting to tell him about it until like six hours before the projects were due ;) I kept having my microphone drop out and having to leave the call so I was getting very frustrated with that on air. The third time I come back after getting dropped off the call I was in the midst of a panic attack but Dragon thankfully shut it down by wisely muting my mic. If you see me going a bit nuts on myself in the screen...I apologize.

I have a bad cold tonight and don't really have the stamina to do reviews, but suffice to say I'd like to congratulate @DSquared and @RMichael21 for being the judges selections moving into the final project! You guys have gone as far as you can go in this game and it's time to put your skills to the test in one last project to prove to the jury your creative chops.

@mickeyfan5534 it's been an absolute pleasure watching you grow and evolve as a player over the season and since your days as an early elimination in later VF-era SYWTBAI seasons. I'm very sorry that your schedule got overwhelmed and am incredibly thankful that you did turn something in. That goes a long way in spite of your competitors having clearly superior projects. We'll be doing a podcast reviewing all the Breaking Bad projects including Space's in the near future.

With all that in mind let's get to the final prompt of the season...

Final Project: A Dimension of Mind

twilight_zone.jpg

There's been a big amount of backlash about the removal of the Twilight Zone out of DCA's Tower of Terror. Because of this, let's hypothetically say Imagineers have made sure to double down and purchase the Twilight Zone IP outright from Paramount allowing them to keep the Florida one with the same theme as well as expanding into new dimensions.

For this project, your goal is to take Sunset Boulevard at Disney Hollywood Studios and retheme it completely to The Twilight Zone. Here are the basic requirements...

1. Perform a large-scale overlay of the Tower of Terror that will add new life into the attraction, and add in some additional theme that comes straight out of the show.

2. Areosmith has decided not to renew their contract for Rock N' Roller Coaster, so with that in mind retheme the coaster around The Twilight Zone using the same track layout.

3. Yep...you guessed it, design a C Ticket attraction themed to The Twilight Zone to tie together the attraction roster.

4. Create a large scale dining experience themed to The Twilight Zone.

Those are the four main things to concentrate on. The jury will then vote for who played the better overall game this season using this final project as an example of your overall body of work as well as answering any potential questions the jury might have about your gameplay throughout the season.

Good luck finalists. This project is due Friday, September 30th at 11:59 PM Eastern!
Question, in this prompt are they going to keep the Beauty and the Beast theater, or is that area fair game?

I'm going to formally ask if there's any way to get an extension to Saturday or Sunday on this project. I've had very little time to do it, and am afraid that with a Friday due date I won't have the chance to submit a super good project.

That's fine. I have a shift at the museum Friday anyways. Let's have the projects due Monday, October 3rd.

Question for @TheOriginalTiki :

Do you want us to answer jury questions separately from our submissions? Also, I have a jury speech Id like to say, where do I put that? At the bottom of my submission?

Well I'll be honest and say I completely forgot to ask the jury if they had questions. That's entirely on me and I apologize. In general I really could have organized the jury aspect a bit better.

Put your jury statements either before or after your main project, it doesn't matter which. @DSquared I'd also HIGHLY recommend you have a jury statement.

Thanks Tiki. I'll put together an FAQ with my speech, haha. ;):p

So You Want To Be An Imagineer Season 13: Get a Clue FINALS
RMichael21 Presents…

Twilight Boulevard
It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Welcome to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a land of adventure, romance and excitement where guests can live their favorite moments from the stage and screen. Coming to Walt Disney World’s third theme park in 2021, guests can experience a completely re-imagined Sunset Boulevard, one themed after the hit long-running small screen show The Twilight Zone.

The current land will be completely re-imagined for this conversion and will remain open throughout the change-over, with each attraction closing one at a time with minimal closure overlap. So, welcome to Twilight Boulevard.

Purpose:
Walt Disney Imagineers decided to use the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” philosophy for this re-imagining. For this reason, instead of completely changing around Tower of Terror’s theme, the new Twilight Boulevard land will build off of Tower of Terror’s backstory.

Backstory:
The year is 1939. Sunset Boulevard is the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. The Hollywood Tower Hotel looms gracefully over the street and Hollywood Rocket Records churns out many stars each and every year.

However, a colossal lightning storm strikes Hollywood one night, completely destroying Sunset Boulevard. Legend has it that residents of the area, guests of the Hollywood Tower Hotel and recording artists and producers of Hollywood Rocket Records were sent, in the midst of the storm, to… The Twilight Zone.

This legend then caused thousands of people to flee Sunset Boulevard and never return, therefore abandoning the once thriving area of the city. The Twilight Zone legend gave Sunset Boulevard a new nickname and with it a new stigma… Twilight Boulevard. So, we invite you on the very first inspection expedition to Sunset Boulevard since that fateful night… But beware:

The Twilight Zone awaits...

Theming:
Overall, the “theme” of Twilight Boulevard will remain similar to what it is currently. However, the “abandoned” and “destroyed” aspect of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will be expanded to the whole land.

As seen on the front of the current Hollywood Tower Hotel, the grayed and lightning struck theming will now be on the front of the facades lining the streets of Twilight Boulevard.

Also, a new, abandoned gate will be added to the entrance of Twilight Boulevard, giving the land a more ominous tone just before turning the corner and getting the first view of the now abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel.

The interiors of the shops and restaurants will be given the “abandoned” treatment as the lobby of the Hollywood Tower Hotel.

Finally, the two attractions currently on Sunset Boulevard will receive either minor upgrades (Tower of Terror) or a complete re-imagining overhaul to match Twilight Boulevard’s theme (Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster).

Attractions:
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror:
TowerOfTerror_MGM.jpg

The headlining attraction of Twilight Boulevard will only receive many new updates that breathe new life into the attractions. Additions to the Tower of Terror include an extended queue that takes guests through even more of the hotel (an extension on the back of the building) and not just the lobby. Guests will be able to walk through the ballroom, kitchen, pool area and more. In addition, updated effects throughout the attraction will bring dying effects back from the dead, giving them new life to breathe.

The Twilight Zone Rocket Records:
Welcome to the completely re-imagined Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster: Starring Aerosmith. Now with a Twilight Zone theme with a similar premise to the Tower of Terror, guests can enter the now abandoned Hollywood Rocket Records for a tour.

QUEUE: With a complete re-imagining into a deserted 1930’s recording studio, the queue will be completely abandoned and evoke the same eerie feel as the Tower of Terror queue. Cast members with “Producer” costumes will also act in a similar way to the Tower of Terror cast members.

PRE-SHOW: Guests will enter a now abandoned recording booth. However, as the door closes, the ghouls that haunt the recording studio come to life! Your investigation leader who has accompanied you in your expedition to investigate the recording studio barges in and says, “We have to get you out of here, the spirits of the Twilight Zone have taken over! I have a car out in the back alley that will get us out of here!” Guests then enter the back alley and load their ride vehicles, which are 1940’s inspired auto-mobiles.

RIDE EXPERIENCE: When guests load their vehicles and round the corner, we hear our investigation guide yell “The spirits have taken over the car!” and then we hear Rod Serling's voice say, with a quote from The Twilight Zone: “This highway leads to the shadowy tip of reality: you're on a through route to the land of the different, the bizarre, the unexplainable...Go as far as you like on this road. Its limits are only those of mind itself. Ladies and Gentlemen, you're entering the wondrous dimension of imagination… Next stop The Twilight Zone.” Then, lightning strikes, the car launches and you’re on your ride experience through the Twilight Zone. A new audio track, scenery and lighting will give guests an all new experience. On the brake run, we hear Rod Serling yet again: “It may be said with a degree of assurance that not everything that meets the eye is as it appears.” With that, guests turn back into the alley and disembark back onto Twilight Boulevard.

The Twilight Zone Room of Revelations:
Rounding out the attraction lineup of Twilight Boulevard is The Twilight Zone Room of Revelations. This attraction, similar to Houdini’s Great Escape at various Six Flags parks around the country, is a walkthrough/ride experience that takes guests into the Twilight Zone. Guests will enter the Sunset Boulevard Courthouse behind the Hollywood Tower Hotel for a “tour”. However, when the Twilight Zone ghouls (the people who were sent to the Twilight Zone on that fateful night in 1939) take over the courthouse, sending guests on a wild adventure. For reference, here is a low-quality video of the attraction:

In addition, here is a video of the mechanics, showing the spinning motion of the room:

Note: this attraction will be located on the former flex-theater space located near The Twilight Zone Rocket Records.

Dining:
The Twilight Zone Grand Gala

Another spooky addition to the park with Twilight Boulevard will be an all new signature restaurant located in the former Beauty and the Beast theater. Signature restaurants, something the park lacks, offer more upscale dining at the parks with better quality food. The Twilight Zone Grand Gala is a specifically dinner oriented restaurant with a similar abandoned aspect (minus the cobwebs, no one wants dust in their food) to Tower of Terror, Rocket Records and Room of Revelations. The menu will feature a similar menu to Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort. In fact, the interior theme of the restaurants will also be extremely similar, except the Twilight Zone Grand Gala will have the “abandoned” aspect added and countless Twilight Zone easter eggs.

For reference, here is the interior of the Carthay Circle Restaurant:

Special Events:
Every Halloween season, Twilight Boulevard will transform into a frightful scare zone. Twilight Zone “ghouls” will haunt the streets, frightening guests. However, don’t fret, this won’t be a “Halloween Horror Nights” caliber experience, but it will give guests looking for an added thrill something to do in addition to the family-friendly Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. This event is free of charge and open to guests with a regular theme park admission.

In addition, guests looking to experience the attractions of Twilight Boulevard but not be scared can use a special bypass that puts guests at the end of the street, away from the actors who are contained to the street itself. Or, guests can purchase a five dollar “No-Scare Lanyard” that will grant its wearer a shield from the Twilight Zone ghouls. Finally, guests can experience the other free-of-charge Halloween event in Muppet Courtyard after dark, which is a family friendly experience.

Conclusion
Overall, Twilight Boulevard will be an exciting and frightful experience coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios… Good night! Muah ha ha ha…

------------------------------------------

Thank you for reading my submission everyone! I really had a blast this summer with you all and being your final killer to survive was fantastic. So, here’s my “Jury Speech” with why I deserve the million dollar prize and the title of Sole Survivor. WAIT! Shoot, wrong show. ;):p

Throughout this season of So You Want To Be An Imagineer?, I feel I have proven myself as a great Imagineer and great strategist, balancing both ends of the spectrum and giving me a well-balanced “resume”, so to speak. Let’s start with the Imagineering end of things, shall we?

Throughout the competition, I gave my greatest effort and tried my best to think outside of the box or just help out wherever I could. Now, sometimes I would get caught up in life (I was away from home most of July on vacation/at camp), but still contributed to the challenges as much as I could. Not only was I a team player and stepped up for the team and contributed big chunks of work at many points throughout the game, I also proved that I was a good individual imagineer and able to create concepts of my own for these past two challenges.

Now, no one is without it’s flaws and I’ll be the first to admit that. You know, considering that I’ll be trying to make myself seem amazing for the rest of this speech, I figured I needed to include a portion that shows that I’m really only human, haha. Anyway, there were multiple times where I was forced to surrender my portion of the project to someone else or barely contribute to brainstorming whatsoever, but I hope that it’s known that I tried to find time to put out something when the real culprit was lack of free time.

Speaking of which, these past two challenges also display my (sometimes horrible, but lately pretty good) time management skills. Balancing, school, after school activities, homework and this competition has been pretty time consuming, but I feel like I tried my best to put my priorities first and use every ounce of leftover time that I had to create a stellar concept. Now, with these reasons, I hope that you all realize that my Imagineering skills were stellar and I hope that on top of my strategy skills you vote for me as the winner of this competition.

With that, we move onto the strategy aspect of the game. Now, as one of the three killers, my job was to kill off you all until I got to the finals and avoid being found out. And, well, there were several moments when we became close to being found out, but in the end two of the three original killers made it to the finals without being found out (all of us made it though, despite MEW being voted out early on).

Now you may ask, “RM, what big moves did you make in this game that make you a worthy recipient of the SYWTBAI title?”, and I can tell you there are several.

First, by far the biggest move I made all season was convincing you all that we were the killers but had been switched by Tiki at the merge and that there was now a clean slate and two new killers. And, it worked! Mickeyfan and I didn't receive a single vote after that, according to @TheOriginalTiki ! Now, I would go into more detail about that for those who weren’t involved, but for the sake of time, I’m going to pass over that. Sometime over the next two days, I'll hopefully provide a more detailed write up for what went down during this move. Now, while I have to give mickeyfan credit for going along with it and other moves, most of the moves (including this one) the killers made were of my imagination and strategic mind. In the end, it was mostly me who decided who would go home or who would be killed. Now, I know this could further disincline someone to vote for me, but I believe it shows my willingness to take risks in this game. Also, in order to further myself and mickeyfan (and MEW too) in the game, I needed to look out for our best interests.

This is shown through our targeting of space and Figment, two of the best Imagineers we've seen on these boards in a long time. I knew, should I get to the semi-finals with the two of them, they would easily beat me. Therefore, I needed to further myself by convincing everyone to get rid of them. :p;) I really did feel sorry that their Imagineering skills couldn't save them in the competition format (i.e. no kind of way to win safety through winning a challenge). So, we decided to use our kills to get rid of their Diamond Power of MVPs, but voted them out via the voting process, to ensure that they wouldn't come back into the game through the Museum.

However, I didn't limit myself to aligning with just the killers. I also maintained an alliance with DSquared throughout a majority of the game and kept both of us safe by pulling strings with the killers and others, even without telling him I was a killer.

Finally, as mentioned above, I used my kills and didn't rely on my kills to control the game. Many times (such as the elimination of Space and Figment), I used my social abilities to convince people to vote out our target via the normal vote to ensure they wouldn't reenter the game, while still using my kills to get rid of their Diamond PoMVP. My social awareness in this game, I believe, merits a vote for me! :D

In sum, I played both a strategic and creative game that I believe deserves your vote. I want to thank @TheOriginalTiki and @JokersWild for being amazing hosts/judges. @mickeyfan5534 and @MANEATINGWREATH, you were a pleasure to work with as killers and the same goes for everyone else who I encountered this season! You are all fantastic Imagineers and I hope to work with you again in the future! :)

Twilight Boulevard
twilight-zone.jpg

The Twilight Zone is one of the most acclaimed and infamous TV series of all time. Created by science-fiction guru Rod Serling, who also appeared on the show, the show over the 50+ years since it's original airing has become a pop culture phenomenon, spawning several reboots, video games, comics, a movie, and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in multiple Disney theme parks around the world. And in this parallel dimension, CBS is forced into merging with Viacom, and in turn both companies decide to sell off some of their unused assets as part of this deal, CBS and Paramount agree to sell off the Twilight Zone and other assets, as does Viacom. This is where Disney comes in. In this dimension, CBS-Viacom trades The Twilight Zone, Card Sharks, and M*A*S*H for the rights to Lost and Magnum PI, with cash considerations on both sides. That brings us to today.....

"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the world between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of Disney owning The Twilight Zone. It is an area which we call Twilight Boulevard. "

SYWTBAI Twilight Zone.jpg

Twilight Boulevard will be a temporary overlay and expansion of the Sunset Boulevard section of Disney's Hollywood Studios. This land will serve as a major part of a reinvention of the IP to make the characters and show relevant again after a 2 year reintroduction that would occur before the land opens phase one. Of course, the land's reconstruction would be split up in 3 phases spanning over 6 years, completing the park's re-branding after Toy Story and Star Wars.
Phase 1 (2019 - 2021)

1. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (5 million)

th

After over 22 year of operation, the Hollywood Tower Hotel is just as creepy as ever, and a few familiar faces are joining in on the fun! I won't do a ride-through since the ride at it's core would remain the same, but here's a list of some changes to the attraction:
  • Props like the Fortune Teller, The Masks, and Charlie's gun are scattered in the lobby
  • There is a new interactive experience with the Talky Tina doll
  • Ghosts of the two men from A Game of Pool can be found playing another game
  • Audio clips of the boy Anthony from It's A Good Life can be found throughout some of the ride
  • The 3 eyed man from Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up can be seen in one of the hallways
  • The bellhops sometimes mention a meteor crash from The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street

2.
The Twilight Zone Rerun Show (10 million)

12118387_f260.jpg

The Twilight Zone is one of the greatest series of all time, but it's not in syndication on any major channels, so many have not been able to see much of the show. And the Studios has an entire amphitheater, just sitting there when Fantasmic! isn't showing. So, why not give a great theater like experience to show these classic episodes? So yeah, on all nights when Fantasmic is not showing, old episodes of the Twilight Zone will be shown instead, with the use of a little fireworks, smoke, ect.

3.
Science Fiction at Serling Theater (10 million)

rodserling.jpg

The Twilight Zone has a great screenplay, most of them written by Rod Serling, to the point where some of them are even taught in school (or mine, at least). And they way most of them are written translates very well into theater, and since the old Beauty and the Beast theater is still there, it would be smart to incorporate that into the land. So, throughout the day, old episodes will be brought to the stage in a new show. And more shows would be added as a seasonal special, or if this proves to be a major success. Some of these episodes would include:
  • Time Enough At Last
  • Eye of the Beholder
  • Nick of Time
  • Five Characters in Search of an Exit
  • The Masks
4. Trinkets at 20,000 Feet (1 million)

The-Twilight-Zone-Nightmare-at-20000-Feet-Bob-Wilson-11.jpg

Trinkets at 20,000 will be a store based off of the infamous episode Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. In the episode, a man is trying to prove that a gremlin is destroying the plane's wing. Nobody believes him, but the ending is open to interpretation. In this scenario, the gremlin was real and the plane crashed. So naturally, a homeless man living near the crash site took the hollowed out plane, expanded on it, and opened a shop.

This would be the main shop of the land, and would sell everything from t-shirts and mugs, to the masks from The Masks episode, and the little fortune teller from the episode Nick of Time.

Phase 2 (2021 - 2023)

5. The Graveyard Shift (2 million)

twilight-zone-season-3-7-episode-72-the-grave-lee-marvin-knife-review-episode-guide-list.jpg

The Graveyard Shift will be the main restaurant of the land, and will be based off the less famous episode The Grave. The diner will have 2 floors, the bottom being a recreation of a cemetery, down to even having a kind of turf as the floor. And the top floor will just be a regular old diner theme, just in case the bottom reaches capacity at peak season. And the menu will be more Americana, with hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, waffles, ect.

6.
The Shelter (1 million)

theshelter.jpg

The Shelter will be a Meet and Greet building based off of the episode of the same name. This fallout shelter replica will be one of your only chances to get up close and personal with some of the Streetmosphere performers dressed up as some of the disfigured monsters from the show, and even a Rod Serling impersonator that will hold a story time at specific points throughout the day.

7.
Journey to the 5th Dimension (30 million)

twilight-zone-intro-1-o.gif

Part of this new Twilight Boulevard cooperates with the fact the Aerosmith has decided not to renew their Rock'n Rollercoaster
licensing, so the coaster becomes Journey to the 5th Dimension, a roller coaster based off of the intro to the show. And to top it all off, the giant guitar will be replaced with giant versions of the things in the intro, they eye, clock, e=mc2, and more.
The queue is now themed just a basic carnival-style coaster. Regular paint, nothing special. The inside, where the poster used to be now have Twilight Zone posters, props, and more. We still have a screen encounter, but this time with Rod Serling at a desk.

"The word doom carries a negative meaning. Hopelessness, and the end of life. But there is escape. For, a 5th dimension exists. A dimension unknown to man. Step through the doors and join me in this journey. Step through the doors and leave your old life behind. Step through the doors and you will be transported to a new world inside... The Twilight Zone."

We listen to Rod and continue through the doors, where we board our vehicles (still limos, but with the Twlilight Zone logo on the sides and license plates).
And beyond that, the rest of the ride is just a recreation of the infamous show intro, with screens added to create the effect of the stars moving.
The screens at the end just play clips from episodes of The Twilight Zone.

Phase 3 (2023 - 2025)

8. Ghost Town Delights (< 1 million)

ar134117053938513.jpg

Ghost Town Delights will be a quick grab and go snack place themed around the episode Time Enough at Last. This will be apparent because of all of the books and clocks hanging around the room, two objects important to the plot of the episode. This snack stand would sell your usual chips, pretzels, ice cream, ect. It would just be a nice quiet place to come and relax.

9.
The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street (50 million)

788d1ff6d2b3a4b57ea95e28cbebc017.jpg

The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street is one of the most iconic episodes of The Twilight Zone. The psychological analysis and use of suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat and is a very interesting story. So, this ride deserves a C-Ticket dark ride, in classic style.

Queue:
The queue will be based on the neighborhood where the story takes place. We go down a short street (a model contained inside the ride building, of course), and into a house. As we enter the kitchen, a black and white little TV springs to life. Static turns into a clear image, as we are retold the opening epilogue of the episode

We then move into the backyard. This is where we board our ride vehicles, 1960's themed cars, each fitting 6 people.

Scene 1:
We start driving down a street. There are lights on, people are seen cooking through their kitchen windows. Suddenly, the lights turn off! No more radio, no more lights. We move slowly and come across a few people standing outside.

Pete: Did ya see that Les! Everything shut right off! No car, no radio, nothin'!
Les: Yep. Sure is strange
Tommy: Hey, I read about this once! Aliens shut off everything and tried to invade! But, they had someone on the inside, so the humans couldn't work together and kept trying to catch each other!
Pete: Yeah right Tommy. Listen, I'll go into town to see if they have power or not. You stay here.
Les: Alright Pete. You do that. In the meantime, I'm gonna get my car to start.

Our vehicle makes a left turn, to the next scene.

Scene 2
We arrive down the street, where Les is standing outside his car with a few others.

Tommy: Any luck, Mr. Goodman
Les: No luck Tommy. I just don't understand why the car won't...
The car springs to life before Les can finish. Everybody stares.

Charlie: What's this!? We can't get anything on this entire street to work after that stupid meteor passed by, and your car just magically runs fine? Speaking of the meteor, aren't you always staring at the sky at night?
Steve: We've been over this Charlie, Les has insomnia. He doesn't sleep well, and the fresh air clears his allergies.
Charlie: Covering up for the accomplice, are we? What about that radio you're always working on? We've never seen it. What if you're in on this? What if you're talking to the monsters that shut off our power?
Everybody starts to argue, and as the sky gets dark, Charlie looks off in the distance, sees something, and shoots. Les squints and then reacts.
Les: Charlie! You just shot Pete Van Horn!
Charlie's house licks flicker on.

Steve: What's the meaning of this Charlie?
Our ride vehicle continues.

Scene 3
As the town turns into a mob, with people breaking windows, torching houses, and more, we enter a room of screens that shows a chase scene between Charlie and the mob. The intensity here is made creepy by the strangely calm voice of Rod Serling, giving his closing statements.

We keep zooming out, as if we are taking off into space. And as we reach the horizon, a spaceship takes off, in search of more 'Maple Streets'.

End Queue
The end queue is the interior of a large house on Maple Street, but everything is burnt, as if a fire in the house had just been put out. In a chest we we two legs sticking out, belonging to Charlie. His gun is on a nightstand.

10. Rod Serling's Museum of the Weird (30 million)

museum_weird.jpg

Last but not least will be the crowning achievement of the land, the completion of a vision Walt Disney had long ago. Rod Serling's Museum of the Weird will be a whacked-out version of Ripley's Believe it or Not museums around the country. It would function like a real museum too, with exhibits of props and things from the show constantly being swapped out for new stuff. In summary, the museum would be a display of either original, or recreated props from the 50+ years of reincarnations of the show.

This project was a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoyed it!

And onto my jury speech:

To start, I'll be the first to say that I probably don't deserve to have made it this far with my heavy emphasis on strategy, but I guess I just got lucky.;) Previous to the merge, I feel that I was sometimes busy (like many of you), but always tried to get my work done. If I didn't know too much about a project, I took the back seat. If we had a misunderstanding or disagreement, I tried to get both sides of the story so we could see what's best. I feel that even though they had some problems, the scripts and ride-throughs that I helped write were pretty good. And yeah, I played strategy. I helped my team almost immediately discover who the killer was, and tried to help my allies find the other two (Oh! And thank's for that RM!:p). Then the merge happened. I'll admit, I got a little ahead of myself with strategy, and was shielded by my suspicious activity. And I'm sorry if I kind of bent the rules a bit.
But why should I win over RM? For starters, I didn't ever lie to you guys. I never said that I didn't have allies, I always admitted I wasn't the killer, and told you guys voting me would only hurt yourselves. And what do you know, I think I was onto something! But, RM on the other hand decided to fake the quotes from Tiki, so there's that. But hey, if we learned anything from 2 seasons of TSI, it's that RM always has something up his sleeve to increase the drama. And in the rare event of a third party judging us (shout out to BlueDragon5), I had his vote. So, I guess you can draw your own conclusions from that. And I'm not trying to pick on RM, but I feel like I was able to create better characters. I mean, you can write about how many different shades of green are used in the queue all day long, but when it comes to creating a character's way of speaking or acting, I feel like that's pivotal to an attraction, and I have a slight advantage there, as well as in correctly representing existing characters. I'll use the scripts for Gravity Falls and Breaking Bad as examples here.
In summary, I know me and RM both played a little dirty, which reminds me of something...............
.
th

But we both just wanted to win, and used our wit and power to run the game. And I should know, we were allied for like the whole game!

With that, thanks to @TheOriginalTiki , @JokersWild , and everybody else for making this a memorable season, and good luck (but not too good :cautious:) to @RMichael21

EDIT: A picture wasn't working, but it is now!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to take some spare time to respond to this. In strategy games like this, you need to do what's best for your game. See, my only issue was, telling the truth about everything would just get me eliminated, seeing that I was the killer, so it was impossible for me to tell the truth. And, I only told lies when I needed to further myself in the game. I didn't tell unnecessary lies that were pointless and got me nowhere. And, I don't think drama is a bad thing whatsoever, I find that the strategy/constantly guessing who the killer is added a necessary element to a "mystery" themed season.

And, I have shown that I can create characters (I admit, not as much in this comp as others) before, but I appreciate your feedback. I'll use those critiques and work on improving before the year end event. ;):D
