So when did Disney stop banning men with long hair?

I thought it was a myth, but looked it up on Snopes.com. As recent as the late 1960s, Disneyland banned male guests with long hair from entering the park, lol. I thought it was mildly funny at least.

But does anyone have more information on this? When did it stop? How "long" was too long to get in the park? Were there protests to change this? And did Magic Kingdom have such a rule as well during their opening in 1971?

Haha, this is a little off topic but does Disney also enforce a dress code? When I was there last May I could'nt believe it when I saw these morons walking around with their pants almost to their ankles.

there has never been a ban on men with long hair at Walt Disney World. There is a minimum standard for dress code such that if a male guest removes his shirt, he will be required to put it back on, but the dress code for the parks for guests doesn't go much beyond that.

I've seen security ask a woman to cover up a little bit of the booty she had coming out of her shorts (not in those exact words though). Although, I've seen much more booty (and some very much unpleasant) hanging out even more than that. So I guess that's pretty much subjective. Also, I don't know how p.c. it is for security to be judging things like that. And considering that thongs are allowed at the water parks, I don't see why short shorts are that much of a problem.

That's a shame. I'd love to hear security tell someone "Ma'am, you're gonna need to pack some of that junk back into your trunk."

Ive had CMs tell my, then, 5yr old she couldn't remove her shirt for her fully covering tankini underneath for splash mt. I have also had a CM tell me my, then, 3yr old son needed to put his shirt on. We were hiding in a corner in AK while he ate a Mickey ice cream popsicle thing. He was facing a brick wall in a stroller. Couldn't be seen but this one CM that was taking a break in the same area said something.
