I got a $150 gift card to use at the mall, a new microwave (one that goes over the range), Sienfield dvd gift set (one with the script, ect), electric jar opener,the Main Street Train Statioin (part of the wdw mainstreet Christmas set), and I'm getting a new tv for the bedroom next week.

I got a...
Dell PDA (my wife thinks I need one, so I won't forget dates and times...now I just have to remember to put the data in the PDA)
LOTR Return of the King DVD special edition (yay)
Half-Life 2 (now I have to get a new CPU fan, as the game is overheating my CPU...a P4 2.8, no less)
A DVD burner for my PC (yay...now I can burn all those digital home movies and mail them to family and friends - won't they be thrilled
)
But all of those pale in comparison to the best gifts I got, the look on my wife's face when she unwrapped her pearl necklace, and the look on the boy's faces when they unwrapped their DVD/VCR combo player. It's been a good Christmas at the no2 household.

I got 120 bundles of Oakridge PRO 50 AR Deep Shadow Shingles (actual bill of lading)! Since the hurricane (Ivan) it's been very difficult to get high quality roofing shingles that are approved for use in Florida and meet the Metro Dade County building code. Owens Corning only makes these shingles in one of their plants which is located in Jacksonville, FL. Because of the many hurricanes this season, roofing shingles (approved for use in Florida) are in very short supply as are roofers. Getting these shingles is almost like winning the lottery!
Once these shingles are properly installed, they are guaranteed to withstand winds of up to 120 MPH and they have a 50 year limited warrantee! Fortunately, I have a roofing crew lined up to do the work.
Well, I know it maybe rather difficult to get excited about roof shingles for most of you. However, if you had been living with a blue tarp on your roof for over three months and fighting back against roof leaks every time it rains, you'd be ecstatic hearing this news. As I write this the temperature is 37º F (3º C), it's raining (with ice pellets) and my wife just found a new leak by the fireplace. So, I'll be climbing the ladder to the roof with my bucket of cold tar....again, and hopefully find and be able to patch the leak.
