Awesome you were able to squeeze some Disney magic in with the college tour!
It was nice Chris. Thanks. Wish we had time for a park day. By the time the visits came together, the party tickets were long gone. Didn’t figure I’d be able to go on this trip with coaching and Crystal’s situation, but we made it work. We really wanted Maddy to have some fun. If all does well, we will be roasting together soon.

We arrived at the Contemporary early. Our reservation was for 9:55, but it was barely after 9. It was already a long day having left Tallahassee earlier that morning, but we were excited to be in Disney!

After walking around the resort for a bit, we decided to see if we could check in early. To our surprise, they said yes. In less than 5 minutes, we received the text that out table was ready.

We have eaten at California Hrill numerous times, and only twice have we been on the side overlooking the Magic Kingdom. Today was no exception. But who cares? We were in early, at Disney, and about to watch the fireworks!

Our server was awesome. So sorry I can’t remember her name.

We ordered our drinks and looked over the 59th Anniversary menu.

It’s a three course prix-fixe menu. We ordered our appetizers, main entrees, and desserts. Our server suggested we wait until after fireworks before she brought our appetizers. It was 9:40 and the doors would soon be open to go out on the observation deck. We agreed to wait.

I ordered another beer and we went outside.

We went back inside to a clean table and some fresh bread. Soon our appetizers were served. (We are so fast we didn’t take pictures). It was then into our entrees

We both got the filet. So far, everything was amazing.

Then dessert. Maddy ordered the crème brûlée, and I ordered the chocolate torte. Apparently, that wasn’t enough. Our server also brought out a piece of confetti cake. Believe it our but, we both ate everything

Maddy said it was not only the best Disney dinner ever, but maybe her favorite meal
ever. This definitely made me feel good 😍

We then made our way down the elevator and waited for our Uber. It was going for midnight and we were both pretty tired.

Maddy suggested Rainforest Cafe. It’s been years since we’ve been there and that was outside Animal Kingdom. So we headed there.

It was just after 11:30, and although Disney Springs wasn’t crowded, the line was long. We opted to try somewhere new. We picked here

The food was good, and it was a pretty cool place. I’d try there again.

Soon we were wandering again

We walked a bit longer and decided to get some ice cream before heading to Tampa to walk the campus of the University of Tampa again.

This time it was sunny. We made the hour drive to campus and took in the sights again.

The campus is even more beautiful on a sunny day.
