So the CBR rooms are now themed to Finding Nemo?

Jim Hills new article says so, along with photos.

I think Finding Nemo is an ok movie, but why are they pushing this franchise over all the others?

Hopefully Wall-E gets some attention in the near future!

Which rooms?

And anyways Nemo fits the CBR theme more than Wall-E

I don't see this as such a big deal that Jim Hill makes it out to be. There are two small, well-placed fish printed on a bed comforter...OMG, Pixar is taking over Caribbean Beach!

I don't understand why they are doing this. As Jim Hill pointed out, the storyline of Finding Nemo is based off the coast of Australia, which isn't even close to the Caribbean. The Pirates theming at least makes sense in the scheme of the hotel's themeing; the only reason Nemo is in there is because its more branding around the resort. And so I ask, Why? Is this really necessary Disney? What was wrong with the regular Caribbean theme. Why go and stick Nemo in like this?

I hope they didn't read my post yesterday about adding more Disney characters to the resorts lol. But yeah Jim Hill doesn't seem like a big fan of John Lasseter

I always thought that the moderate hotels were suppose to be a little more grown up. Don't get me wrong I love characters and absolutely love nemo but that isn't exactly what you pay for. We get that at values.
Am I wrong to think this??

couldnt disney have spent this money on something else? was it really necessary? I stayed there last year, and everything was perfect, didnt see any need for a refurb

on the other hand I finally realized why the over pixarization of everything, think of it this way, pixar is like disney was back when it was first releasing animated pictures, they're just trying to push the pixar characters as much as they can, cuz well john lasseter has alot of influence over animation and theme parks now and pixar is HIS company so naturally hes going to force these characters down our throats as much as possible, so that in time people will see these pixar characters like disney fans see snow white, pinochhio etc. now... cant blame them for doing that, but I still would think the money they spent on cbr refurb wouldve been put to better use in the parks

From what can be gathered from the pictures, if those are the plans for the linens, it's not much to fret over in my opinion. While I tend to be on the side that believes Pixar is getting a little too much attention, the new decor really seems to be more tropical fish themed and those fish happen to also be in Finding Nemo, as opposed to being outright, loud, and in your face, Nemo themed. A last thought: Jim Hill seems way too angry about those drapes.....I mean, wavy, blue drapes are so obviously Pixar theming......I know the first thing I think of when I see blue drapes is Finding Nemo :brick: Hey Jim, bitter much??

What's interesting about the article is that IF (notice, big "if") Jim Hill is correct, there are also to be family suites added to CBR. This lends credibility to the belief that there are to be family-style suites at each level. We already have them at the ASMu in the value category and most recently the FW Cabins have been re-classified to moderates. Add the CBR pirates-themed family suites that Jim (once again, if right) is talking about and the World suddenly seems to be accomodating to larger families that travel on a budget.

I wonder if there trying to come up with a "tween" resort category... a resort that offers "more" than a value, but with a cheaper price tag compared to the other moderates.

No fridge, the overall theme (comforter, character boarder, curtains) and the switch over to "box style" beds resemble qualities found in Disney's value resorts.

Perhaps we're going to see a staggered moderate category with different price ranges for each resort (similar to the deluxes) especially with the addition of the cabins.

Don't worry the refridgs are going back in the rooms. The 400 pirate rooms are happening. They begin in sept. with a compleation of march. Once again Jim Hill has taken a story and ran with it and not checked his sources. I have already stayed in the rehab rooms. Disney took out the frames for safety reasons. On three separate events children have broken there legs whle climbing into bed. They are removing bedframes from all resorts. Besides, with the bed boxs, housekeeping no longer has to get down on their hands and knees to check under the bed for left articles. Why is Jim Hill always so negative:veryconfu

I kind of like the drapes watery effect, and the bedspreads and wallpaper borders are okay, but it is a little baffling that Nemo does not take place in the Caribbean at all..so that's a stretch. POTC suites? Sounds cool!
