Yes, AKL has a bar near the pool. It's called Uzima Springs.
Dont forget to drink around the world. Also the adventures club get the Kungaloosh when you are there.
AKL also has a bar inside called Victoria Falls. It's on the middle level when going from the lobby to the pool, and it overlooks Boma.

It's beautiful, with multiple levels, lots of tables and chairs in little nooks if you want privacy, or a somewhat larger area to mingle. It has a wide variety of South African wines- very nice, but very pricey. Of course, WDW drinks are ALL expensive, everywhere.
The pool bar is also very nice; I can't remember if you can leave the immediate bar area with drink in hand to stroll over and look at the nearby animal enclosures.

Hey were going in July to celebrate my 21st, from one now legal drinker to another...HAPPY DRINKING... o I meant Birthday...hehe!:lookaroun
Yup, it sure is expensive to enjoy the ol'Devil's Water at WDW, I found that you gotta go for the drinks that you can't or won't find elsewhere.
I found for the money and the authenticity, there is nothing like a Lapu Lapu over at the Polynesian. I've enjoyed them at Ohana's and the little Table Service place Kona Kafé... The Lapu Lapu is two different kinds of rum (one is 80 proof (Bacardi 151)) with Pineapple Juice, some Grenadine and it's all served in a hollowed out pineapple over crushed ice... I forget the exact ingredients, but the important thing is, you get A LOT of bang for your buck out of that one, and you get to drink out of a pineapple!! AWSOME... as long as you like pineapple!
Happy drinking! Enjoy your birthdays!... but remember there is nothing magical about a hangover!
I can think of nothing better than drinking a tall pint of Tusker Beer and sitting next to the fire place in the AKL (in the winter of course).
I don't know if you were trying to say this, but I gather that you said Bacardi 151 is 80 proof. I am sure you know it is 151 proof, and the Lapu Lapu is made with 151 and 80 proof rums. Just thought I would clear that up for any readers.
