Somehow I don't think when the mother had a baby she was like I will call him crash. How he got his name seems to be hinted at twice in the movie. When Trip comes out he is like I am sorry I Crashed your party and then ask Crash what he has for him, which was Trip's own video game. Also Trip tried to destroy the car by using Crash to see to it that Heribe was crashed and destroyed.
Crash was screaming like a wildman they actually cut back on some of it in the movie. If you watch the deleted footage you will hear a lot more screaming from Crash. Did he get his name because he just like to destroy things or something like. I seem to sorta get that impression from him lol
