I am preparing to pack for our trip in 12 days. I noticed many others posted in the awesome "neat and pretty" thread that they do have some type of a beauty routine. I am headed out this weekend to get some last minute things so please tell me what beauty products/tips/ideas that you use or do. I am feeling more like a step sister am less like a princess the further along I get, need some prettiness:)
My tip: bare mineral powder foundation used lightly, has SPF, evens out skin with out the foundation/concealer heaviness and keeps shine down...

For me it's double layer of deoderant and sunglasses. I then prepare myself for the site of my wife's ever growing hair throughout the day. It begins quite manicured and by the time we reach the front gates it begins to grow. By noon a hat has difficulty containing it. By dinner it's a lost cause. But the smiles when we are at the the parks and throughout the day make it a mute point. So practice you smile that's all anyone see's. I'm sure yours like my wife's is great.

I always wear wash-off/waterproof mascara and stick to natural colors with my makeup since the humidity tends to de-glamorize you throughout the day.
I wear waterproof mascara in daily life. It just stays on so much better. But it is a must in the humidity. Also, you will need to make sure you have something that will take it off well without pulling out all your eyelashes.

If you only want face cleanser, the Oil of Olay foaming face wash is awesome at taking off makeup. Some gentle rubbing is needed for the lashes, though. The best removers are the Lancome one (expensive) and the Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover. Works as well as Lancome and much cheaper.

Get some gel eyeliner. Not guaranteed to stay, but is far superior to pencils. I have tried a bunch and Bobbi Brown's long wear gel eyeliners are the best. Don't buy the Sephora versions - they don't stay on.

I gather up all new sunscreens. I always have versions in stick, spray and liquid form. And I always make sure to put it on my lips and then follow up often with a 45 SPF lip balm. Not very glamorous, but a sunburn - particularly on the lips - is less so.

The hair? I don't even bother. My hair is stick straight and yet still frizzes down there. It is a ponytail and hat or visor. Especially with a sweat band built into the brim. I love the Headsweats visors.

To be honest Krista, don't worry too much about it. This time of year we are getting into the weather pattern where us Floridians will complain about the heat and humidity. My wife lathers up real good with sunscreen, puts her hair back in a ponytail, puts on a ball cap and shades and that's it. She doesn't even bother with make up and she buys that good stuff which isn't supposed to run. Your are going to sweat this time of year, specially a notherner such as yourself.

I always say I'm going to get a pre-trip mani/pedi and as 1am rolls around...I realize I'm going to be doing my own nails. I'll still make time for doing my own toes, even if they have to dry in the car. As for the rest of me while I'm there...
- While I am fairly pale, I get a lot of sun just from driving around in Texas so I don't need a ton of bronzer
- My hair is curly...I've lived in FL...and I live in another humid climate...so I try and embrace the curls unless I know it's going to be a cooler dry week. So, either up in a "messy" top bun with some curled tendrils or I let my curls air dry with whatever prodcut I'm using at the time
- While I spray down with a high level sunscreen, for my face, I do some form of SPF BB cream, blush, a long lasting light colored lip color/stain, and a very light amount of mascara. My eyes are pretty sensitive, so I don't want a heavy long lasting formula. I'm at least brunette so my lashes still stand out a bit sans mascara.
- Oh yea- deodorant & mild perfume. ;)

I am always in awe of some of the women that look so put together at Disney. more power to ya sisters!! I have learned that when it starts to get humid...which is mostly all the time here, to not even try with foundation. I try to stick to tinted moisturizer with SPF and then I always plan to go back to the hotel and shower before any evening activities.
