First i hope im in the right spot lol.

i am currently 34 almost 35 and went to WDW from the age of 9-15 or so every year, so say 1985-1991 for a good guess.
Now my description and question will be very vague as i dont remember much of anything about the ride. But i do remember two things about it.
1. it was in epcot(and if it wasnt im an idiot lol)2. After you got on the ride in the vehecal, just like the ones for the figment ride, the cars slowly went through the "show" eventually it made its way outside, going up a steep incline before going back inside.

Anyone have ANY idea what im talking about lol.

Thanks Krack. For some reason this ride reminds me of my mother. I remember being young standing outside with her and my oldest sister, and wondering what i was getting myself into going on a ride like this lol

Wow this thread hits pretty close to home in a sense.

I remember this attraction with the same details, or did at one time. When I first got the internet around the age of 15 this was one of the first things I did search for when the internet was new, eventually I found it. I too remember spiraling up and thinking it was neat how you went through a show scene, and then to another after a brief outside run. I for some reason remembered it doing it more than the one full spiral it really did but it all came back to me when I researched it...

funny thing was I was two maybe three the last time I rode it. I lost my mother when I was a little over four years old and Disney trips always remain strong memories probably due to the loss...and the memories probably another reason why I enjoy theme parks so much.

Looks like there are many like us! Sadly I never got to experience Horizons, WOM, JII, and other EC classics, but I've learned so much about them now and watched so many of Martin's videos that I now consider myself an EC fangirl. :o

Yea me too because while I have vivid memories about Horizons and JII I can barely remeber WOM for some reason

For all those who missed it, you would have only liked the World of Motion if you enjoy lengthy (15ish minutes) Omnimover attractions featuring immersive environments, somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 audio animatronics, a history lesson on the evolution of travel (from foot to airplane), an incredible futuristic city of tomorrow model, and a catchy theme song that follows you from start to finish.

If you don't enjoy those things, you wouldn't like it.

Yeah, I am in the same situation, except that I am a fanboy. :p

Maybe in a bunch of years we will be the ones telling the youg forum members how fantastic EC was - even though we were never there.

That sounds awfully boring. How could people put up with such rides back then?!
