So Excited...We're Going Home. Here We Come CSR!!!!!!!!

We cancelled our ten night stay at the CSR for September back in April due to the economy, husband getting his third pay cut in three years and rising college tuition bills. Luckily, we were going to Marco Island for ten days instead as a lawyer I work with and who has become a family friend offered us his two-bedroom condo at no charge. We also had enough miles to get free airline tickets so we were only paying for a rental car, a couple of meals out and food for me to cook...this was manageable for us. Well, then Disney came out with the $96 a night rate for moderates and I suggested to DH we stop for two nights on the way to Marco Island so that we get our Disney fix. He said if I could get the rate to go for it (we still had the deposit for the ten night trip on hold for 2010). Well, I got three nights at the $96 rate. :sohappy::sohappy: Then I booked our airline tickets. Well, of course, there were no early morning flights on Saturday that wouldn't waste our whole day, so DH says let's fly out Friday night if you can get the CSR one additional night. So now we are on for four nights/four days at the CSR.

So September 18-22 at Disney and then September 22 - 29 at Marco Island.

When I got home from work that night DH said you better start making ADR's. Okay...like I'm going to get anything at this point, but I'll see what I can do. Over a week's time of playing with the online dining, I was able to get an 8:05 a.m. at Crystal Palace, 5:40 at Sci Fi, 1:00 at Plaza Restaurant and a 12:55 at LeCellier.

We are so excited to be going "home" and seeing the newly rehabbed rooms while still fresh and not having to wait until 2010.

How awesome!!! See, things always seem to work out, may not be the 10 trip that you wanted this year, but 4 nights ain't bad!!! I feel you with the whole economy thing, I got laid off back in March... I am so glad that I already had the moeny put aside to pay for my sept. trip, b/c if I had to tell my 7 year old DS we weren't going, it would have broken my heart!!! Have a wonderful trip! I love CSR we were just there in Dec. We actually arrive 9/22!

Yay! That's great!

We got to stay longer too since we couldn't get the direct flight we wanted. Now we're arriving 2 days earlier (13 nights total) and then staying another week after so we can go to Universal/IOA and then head over to Daytona Beach for a few days. Can't wait! Only 38 more days!

We spent five days at Daytona Beach after our trip last September. DH and his family always went every year from the time he was born; his parents still go twice a year. Have a great time.

Thanks! About a year and a half ago we took our 6 month old to Disney for a few days. Then went to Melbourne for about 4 nights and then up to Daytona Beach for just 1 night before we had to fly home. While we loved Melbourne, I liked the beach so much better at Daytona. Last year we went back to Melbourne since we had a free night at the hotel we stayed at. We were trying to figure out how we'd squeeze in a trip to the beach while we were there and since we couldn't get the flight back we originally wanted, it gave us the extra time to go over there. You just can't swim to much in the ocean in Maine...pretty chilly!

This is wonderful to hear!!! I hope you have a great time and the weather is good at that time also. We will be there ourselves come Saturday Morning 19th. We're moving DS to college in Winter Park FL so we are going to stay Sat - Mon and then back to Winter Park to finish settling him in for school before we head for home. We're not staying at CSR but we have dining ressies for the Maya Grill on Monday Evening at 5 pm.
So enjoy your time.
