So disappointed in our AAA office

I called last Tuesday for a quote for Dec of 2008 (yes that far off). I had to leave a message. I guess I missed them for the day. I finally heard back on Thursday. She took the info and said she would call back. Here it is Monday and I still haven't heard from her. I did the online quote too. I got an email y'day with a price for this Dec so I replied that I needed it for next year. So I just now got another email with the right date, but was told All Star Sports isn't available. Only Pop. Ummmmm I asked for Pop in the first place. :fork: After getting the quote and working the numbers myself on Disney's site they are only saving us around $61. That just doesn't seem like much. I'm wondering if they did something wrong with the quote.

I told my hubby that when we are ready to book we are calling Elizabeth and KK!!! She really knows her stuff! (thanks Elizabeth for all the help on the phone last week!)

Well, so far, our AAA rep has done a good job. The last 2 trips we took we booked directly through Disney and got exactly what we asked for. No problems. It was actually a little cheaper going with AAA this time and there are a few extra perks that AAA gives you for booking with them. I guess I will have to give my final grade when our trip is over in November! :sohappy:

Just to update. It's now a week after I talked to the agent. She has not called me back. I have caller id so I would know if she tried and didn't leave a message. My hubby and I have decided that we won't be using them for Disney again. We just aren't happy with the service. I know I told her I wanted a quote for more than a year out, but what if we wanted to book after getting it? Then they are the ones loosing out.

Thanks to all that have replied. I'm glad to see that we aren't alone with AAA stinking. It's great that some of you have had no trouble with them. I hope that it continues that way for you.

I needed to book a room-only reservation at AS Sp due to an earlier arrival. I used the AAA website and got it for $65. The same room through Disney's website was $93. However, like others have said, I find AAA Travel to be less than enthusiastic and helpful. Next trip, based on the testimonies given here, I'm going to give KK a shot.

Just curious to know which office you've used because I've always used the local CT AAA with great luck. The only time we ran into an issue was when the person I've always dealt with was out so I worked with another agent (which ended up costing me more than what it should have!). To make a long story short, I will never "cheat" on my travel agent again! She has always ensured that we have the best and worry-free trip. I was never that good in booking things myself.....:hammer:

We live in Fairfield so we use the Stratford office. Our agent there Nancy is actually a Disney Specialist and does a really good job. I feel the same way as you and I have never had a problem with AAA in CT. Maybe the CT offices are just run better.

I always have had a significant discount over the Disney posted rates and never a problem getting the hotel we wanted. Our trip in September she also got us a great rate on a flight out of Westchester so we don't even have to deal with driving into NYC or Hartford. Yea!:sohappy:

I didn't have trouble with my reservation..I booked it the day they announced the 2008 rates. Since I booked a room only at Pop..I had to call back the next day to see if the AAA discount was up...Low and behold the next day arrived and I contacted the Reservation line finding out that the AAA discount was available and now I'm staying for less than I've ever had for a Disney Resort....
