Its easy to explain to kids something.

I for one will always be there to hug her and wish her a sweet sixteen.

So will I! That and to see the three faries, especially if they use magic!
-cough- dress color fight :) -cough-

And I will go back especially if Maleficent ever makes apperances. I want to see more villians! :goodnevil:fork:

C'mon, not EVERYday does Cinderella have a coronation, but it seemed to work out for about a year and a half!

(and do we have to have a swell castle party every stinkin' day???)

Not to mention the surprise party that Minnie Mouse receives every day at Playhouse Disney every day.

Or the fact that Cinderella's probably going to lose her shoe every day as many times as Aurora is turning 16.

Not every child is going to really care. The characters are pretty much reenacting the stories that their younger fan base already knows and loves. I don't see the big deal.

Of all the problems I have with attraction, this isn't one. I don't recall as a kid ever thinking the characters were REALLY real. It just weirds me out that hottie Aurora is supposed to be 16. I am old.

everyday for the next how many years? How do you explain that to a kid?

"Yeah, I know we celebrated Aurora's 16th birthday when we were just here last week/month/year/vacation but guess what? She's celebrating her 16th birthday again...and again...and again."

Sounds like a really horrible concept for repeat visitors.

I'm betting that the same person who thought making families with young children sit through a 10 minute Disney promo video (that hasn't been updated in 15 years) every time they want to see the characters at DHS probably came up with this concept too.

Brilliant!! :brick:

My first thought when that was announced was "I'd hate to be an Aurora when that opens". How many times can you feign surprises? All the Princess "attractions" seem not that very repeatable, but I'm excited their doing something new with them.

My only disappointment is that repeat visitors who want just a picture with Belle or Aurora have to sit through kids doing their re-enactments of the stories.

As for the 16th birthday concept, it's not as bad as, say, Ariel having flippers when in the movie she grows feet at the end. They're choosing their favorite part of the canon to create the experience, and it stays in this timeless loop that we actually accept. I mean, Beast was a man at the end of the film, but whenever we see him or his furniture in shows, they're in their "pre-curse" form. This kinda thing is always happening at Disney because people want to see characters in their favorite scenes/forms.

Well, if the smaller children ask why she is turning 16 again and again, just tell them they are wrong and that last year when you went to disney, she was turning 15 and they are mistaken. lol. :ROFLOL:

You don't really have to worry about the older kids, since they probly know that it is all make believe.

No, in reality, yeah they could have thought of a better way to meet aurora. I'm not sure why they are doing it this way. Then again, it will be a while before this opens, so it may all change.
