I'm guessing it's just over the intercom and they couldn't necessarily tell it was taking on water? I've been in the control booth once and they have a lot going on (46 boats are on the ride at one time)

Probably mechanical issues with SSE or Imagination, since SSE’s track isn’t in the greatest shape, and the sound lab figment always has issues with his pneumatic cylinders. Heck, he wasn’t working that well as of recently, and I’m not sure if they fixed him or not.
