Splash Mountain didn't paralyze someone, injure ride testers or have linked 115 other people injured on the ride since 2017. https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/report-court-records-show-115-visitors-at-volcano-bay-injured-on-same-slide-that-paralyzed-manThere is weight limit in one of the Universal water park water slides ( 150lb max ) each guests gets weighed prior to going on. Should there be a weight limit to go on Splash Mountain?
Just saying if several guests weighing 270 lbs average get in a SM boat, you do not think the boat will take on water?Splash Mountain didn't paralyze someone, injure ride testers or have linked 115 other people injured on the ride since 2017. https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/report-court-records-show-115-visitors-at-volcano-bay-injured-on-same-slide-that-paralyzed-man
Was there an issue? I thought I heard the pumps turned off and when pumps aren't moving the boats forward, they'll naturally float backwards. I definitely think maintenance and spending is atrocious at WDW but I can't fault them for that one.Don't forget that Living with the Land had an issue the other day and sent Guest backwards through the green houses.
True, water rides will sink from time to time. Maybe a roller coaster will fly off the rails occasionally. The ride is old what do you expect. People just have super high expectations since it's a a Disney ride.
Whatever you do don't get out of the boat. A FL guest got out of the boat at SM/MK in Nov 2000. He was attempting while walking in the water ride path to get to an emergency exit because he was feeling ill. He was struck by an oncoming boat. He passed away.I't went under as soon as we all stepped out," when we were all pushing down on the boat to get out.
