JCrane - not really. The original Snow Whites Adventures in the MK didn`t have Snow White in it - yep, you read that correct. The guest was meant to be SW, but this was usually lost on the average visitor. The ride was being re designed for Euro Disneyland at the time, so the MK had a copy made and installed it in WDW too - the one you see today. Some sets were removed and/or enhanced, the effects were improved, and you now have a happy ending - instead of the Witch being hit by lightning, originally she did manage to drop the boulder on you and poor Snow White. Nice!

I remember my mother telling me before the first time we went to WDW (when I was in first grade in '88) that my grandma was scared to death on Snow White's Adventures because of that Witch.

I can ride just about anything and go to my local haunted house 3-4 times a year. Snow White scared the heck out of me.....

I remember riding Snow White back in 1978. I was 10 and it scared me to death!!! I remember one scene when a gem filled mine car came flying out of a wall towards you. I also remember it being a darker ride. Lots of things poping up and coming at you in the original attraction.

OMG yes!! I had totally forgotten about that part. I also remember some alligators or something coming towards you. I believe the witch still pokes out of the trees at some point too though. I also remember it being a bit darker. But in truth I kind of like this version better now. I remember riding it after Snow White was added to the attraction around 1994 or 95 I think and being completely surprised at her appearance in the ride. Back then you often didn't learn about improvements or changes to rides until you actually visited the park.

Hi,
Thanks Marni. I see it now. I've been trying to find that video for years. It's a little dark, but I guess that's to be expected. Because the extinct Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is on You Tube, I was wondering why no one has put up the old Snow White ride on YouTube, too. Well, I'm grateful that there's at least one video left. If anyone knows of any others, let me know.

As for the ride, itself, I definately miss the old one, now. As a little kid, I too would wonder why the ride is all about the witch, and I would come out crying, sometimes . I don't mind that they added Snow White, but I wish they had kept the level of scariness. I thought that the sign outside warning that the ride was scary should have been an obvious tip-off:hammer: .

i was like a tot and i remember this ride scaring the Pooh out of me, my brother (20) still claims it scared him to death! haha
