Snow Day!

Today we had a snow day from school and I was wondering, if it were to snow in WDW (I know the chances are almost slim to none), would they be equiped enough to plow all of the streets, sidewalks and parking lots in WDW? And what would happen to the hotel pools and waterparks? I know this would probably never happen, but what would WDW do? Feedback?:veryconfu

It wouldn't happen. It is the reason that the resort was built in Florida. Almost NO chance of snow.

Blizzard Beach is the closest thing you can get to snow in WDW, other than the fake snowfalls on Main Street U.S.A. and the Osbourne Lights (right?)...

I don't think that WDW would be able to handle a large amount of snow, but I'm sure they could get by. as far as the pools and water parks are concerned, I don't think that hte water parks are even open htis time of year, are they? Even so, i'm sure anything heated would still be open.

If snow did come, you wouldn't have to plow it because the next day, the temperatures will retreat back to their normal registers and the heat from the 80 degree day will melt all the snow away!

There is usally at least one park open this time of the year. Right now Typhoon Lagon is open 10-5 daily!

WDW would be able to handle the small amount of snow they might get. Most likley if it ever did snow, it would be like here in Ft. Worth Texas...it melts as soon as it hits the ground.

I dont even think Reedy Creek (or Orange County and Osceola County) has snow plows, they would prob. be out there with the bull dozers from the Pop Century plowing it.

I live in South Carolina and we only have a few snow plows where I live, so I am pretty sure wdw wouldn't have any. On a different note, I was supposed to go to North Carolina this weekend and help run a youth conference (a mini camp) but it snowed and now I can't go. This place is like a natural WDW for me, so I am really really sad!

I think that the crazy southern drivers would finish everyone off before they even got to the park gates!:dazzle:

Sorry, but us midwesterners have seen southern drivers in the snow!

No offence to southern drivers, but when we drove through florida on one of our trips to Disney, every car was dented and no one used a turn signal, especially if they were changing lanes. please don't get mad at me for this.

Don't stereotype us. I grew up outside of Baton Rouge, LA. The drivers (for the most part) were courteous and drove well.

Then I moved near to Knoxville, Tennessee...

My wife is from Tennessee, but I told her I think most of the drivers just came down from the mountains and got in the first car they found and just started driving. It's horrible.

And I've driven in New Orleans!

Luckily, I drive a Saturn...no dents!

But we aren't all bad drivers. And remember...a LOT of people in Orlando came from up north!
