Actually, that is the right answer. WDW is crawling with all kinds of snakes including a high population of Eastern diamondback rattlesnakes. Where ever you see lizards, there will also be snakes. Central Florida is prime habitat for snakes.
Copperheads are also very prolific in the WDW area. Coral snakes ("red next to yellow will kill a fellow") are all over the place as well. WDW is "home" to many types of snakes including lots of Florida cottonmouth. However, it's unlikely that you'll see any.
Snakes have many ways to conceal themselves from view. Even trained herpetologists have difficulty locating snakes in the wilds of WDW. However, if you know where to look, there is a bounty of snakes to be seen at WDW within a short distance from any guest area.
Personally, now that Roy Disney is out of the picture, I've had my fill of snakes at Disney.
