Snakes, lizzard, alligators

The last time I was in AK, the big black snakes weren't too worried about being out in the spring break crowds. There was one just next to Hester and Chesters, on the way to Asia. One look at that thing and I was outta there runnin to the Yeti. :lookaroun

there was black snakes in AK !!!!!

i have seen loads of little lizzards at sports but then my dad told me they ate the little bugs so that didnt bother me from then on.

i have seen snakes in AK at the conservation centre but they are behind big, thick glass and there is also a CM who will tell you what they are called and tell you information about them. at first i wouldnt approach the glass but when your there for a while you just go and look at them. also in that area is the food which is fed to the animals so go over there instead of looking at the animals behind the glass.

i have heard about alligators in MK by splash mountain in the water facing it -i think there is a pic in the forums or somewhere.

i have seen loads of little lizzards and bunnies around the resorts and parks and there are also duck in MK.

as people have said dont go looking for anything like snakes or lizards as it will ruin your holiday just enjoy yourself and if you see a lizzard then you see a lizzard. just go and enjoy yourself.

i also heard about snakes being in the genorater rooms in space mountain -can anyone confirm this?

Ive seen the gator in MK near the Turkery leg stand, was very cool. A CM was standing there kind of like a gaurd making sure noone fed it. I asked what would happen if someone did, ejection from the park and arrested, I decided to eat the popcorn myself. :slurp:

You have to remember that WDW is part of Florida - not an isolated island in the middle of nowhere. Alligators, snakes, lizards, and all manner of bugs and the like are a part of the natural habitat of the area, and therefore are sure to be found in WDW too. No big deal!

If you have ever noticed on your way to and from WDW, the homes that have pools most of them have them fenced in with extra cover at the bottoms to keep the snakes and gators out. A number of years ago one of the bus drivers had mentiond a Florida saying, which is, If there a body of water anywhere there more than likley is a gator in it.

alot of alligators, snakes and such are moving inland because of the property boom in florida they are building houses and villas where these sort of animals lived making them move inland to where people live and work coz they cant go anywhere else.

as someone did say alot of the villas/houses with pools and outdoor areas are covered with a metal mesh type of material to keep out snakes, alligators and such.

in a way people and animals are invading each others space/area.
