Ummm, that would hurt on it's exit...lol

Thanks for all the info. I'm just going to tuck it in my bag and hope for the best. The jacket thing is a good idea but even though it's freezing here, I'm going to florida...I don't want a jacket in my hands ;) haha

I'm not really sure where I'm going to do it to be honest. I going to go with the flow and when it feels right...BAM gonna make her fall to the ground ;) She has no idea...I tell her I'm petrified of the thought ;)

When I flew to WDW to surprise my now-wife in 1999, I had the ring in my pocket the whole time, except for when I passed thru the metal detectors. Even then, I kept my eye on the box the *entire* time it was out of my pocket. Honestly, I'd keep it in the box, in your pocket. But definitely let her go first, and let the guards know what you're doing if necessary. They'll understand. :)

Oh, BTW, I proposed to her in front of Cinderella Castle, right at the entrance to it, about 5 minutes before the Fantasy In The Sky fireworks, and then we walked over to Adventureland to watch the MSEP. Her sister said that I ruined any proposal that she'd ever get because what I did was so special.

I will def. take some pics...

I was thinking either the castle, or somewhere nice with the fireworks...

Or Epcot during illuminations..

I am having fears of dropping to one knee in front of a mass of people though ;) might have to suck down a cold one first to ease the pain :slurp:

yeah but just remember that when she says yes everyone will be clapping!!
ask a cast member close by to take pictures of "the moment"
just tell her that you want to take a picture of the 2 of you and then tell the CM that you're about to propose and then YAY!!
lol
sorry
do it how you want (thats how I want LOL):sohappy:

What?

When I first read the title of this post, I thought what is going on here? After reading through it, I agree with Alicia! How exciting for your girlfriend, Dizzknee! and what a guy you must be!

This will definitely be a moment to capture on film - a CM might be a better choice to take the picture - let the other guests be your audience. You will be sure to get lots of supportive cheers from the group when you get down on bended knee.

We will be waiting anxiously for the report - don't be nervous, sounds like you put a lot of thought into this and she is going to love it!

Good luck and have a wonderful trip!

It's not about what a guy I am...it's about what a girl she is :animwink:

Thanks for the encouragement, I'm gonna need it ;)

When you say castmember do you mean any worker or a character? I'm not hip with the disney lingo

hehe

but when you said that i just imagined someone in a goofy costume trying to take a picture!!
better yet..you could give goofy the ring and let HIM propose

Any Disney employee should be fine - they are used to that type of requests. But it would be fun to have an "after" picture taken with the two of you and a character! I'm sure it could be arranged if you do a little pre planning. Does she have a favorite character?

What a lucky girl . . .

You can't have Goofy. He's mine.

Goofy promised to propose on Valentine's day..... but he must have forgotten the ring..... he never showed.

Can you see this?...

I have been trying to think of some romatic part of wishes for some time to ask a Good friend to go to prom with me, any sugestions?

Oh, and do not have anything near metal going through the metal detector, I have to always take off my shoes, due to a thin, barely detectable piece of metal in it.

and wedding rings can set it off, i seen it a few times last winter break.
