BBQ is not the same as grilled.

Now, having said that.

I have made numerous times the flank steak from Garden Grill (see Grill, right in the name). It is my youngest daughters favorite and the recipe is right in the above thread.

I make it on the grill too. Mine always turns out good. Sometimes the one at the Garden Grill ..... not so good. Let it marinade for a long time 24 hours + and dont forget the rub. Extra liquid smoke doesn't hurt either.

Yes, as a southerner I have to take exception to the use of the term "BBQ" as either a verb or anything having to do with grilled hot dogs/burgers. BBQ is either pulled pork (or brisket if you're from TX) or ribs. With that said, the best BBQ I have had on site is Flame Tree in AK. Almost as good as the hole-in-the-wall BBQ joints here in GA!

You need to add that BBQ is pulled pork or brisket that is prepared in a smoker! I'm sure you'll agree that putting BBQ sauce on something doesn't make it BBQ :)

There are a lot of places that sell really good grilled dishes. I havent found a BBQ place that I like. Im spoiled though, My wife is from texas so I have had some if the best in the country. I also smoke ribs and such when I BBQ at the house. Not to say the BBQ places there are not good, just not my flavor.
