Small trip report from 2-9-11

While I was visiting my girlfriend for a few days this past week,
I convinced her to spend Wensday at MK with me!
We got there about 10am and stayed till close

crowds were way down although it looked like there were a decnet amount of people there.

we got on every ride alteast twice and never waited more then 10min.

Here are some things I noticed,

SM: none of the cue games were turned on, then again i walked right on the ride. It was the first time i went one since the major redo. Looked very good! The ride got alot better and i loved the music playing on the coaster. As soon as I got off the ride the MTN shut down. not sure why but the next ride we hit was the people mover and we passed through space mountain with all the lights on and folks were stuck everywhere.

CoP: running well and looks good. not great but good

Buzz Light year: looks like the cars could use some paint and the ride stopped three times when we were on it

HM: still looked great and there was some type of work being done outside in the grave yard along the main line

SM: (my personal fav) The lap bars were in. I am probably the biggest guy that would ride and I had no issues with them at all. Two little kids did get stuck when their lap bar wouldnt release at the loading and they had to use a T handle object to manualy do it. The cast member said a few of the logs were having similar issues. I was unhappy that some of the AA and effects were not working after the refurb. but the paint loked good and the fishing"storks"? looked liked they got fresh outfits and fur.

BTmRR: working very well. rode a few times. the lift where the shaking rocks were still had some tarp up over the left side and no rocks were shaking

Jungle cruise: same jokes differen day. went on twice and the second time at night the skipper seemed like he just wanted his shift to end. didnt really sell it that well

Monorail: When did they stop letting guest ride in the front? was it due to the crash this past summer?

PoTC: still a great ride with no wait. looked very good

Saw a ton of meet and greets all over that day.

I will say that all of the cast members we ran into were excellent! none sour face and all were happy and full of energy. Some from pinoccios were holding a sign above its a small world that said do the chicken dance and one guy got into it! so funny

Didnt really look at the new expansion but they were closing mickeys toon town today I think as part of it.

Great info-thanks for the update! Glad to hear you enjoyed Splash but kind of scary that the lap bars aren't working properly. Love the chicken dance thing and glad to hear there were a lot of meet and greets!

better then getting stuck in the ride with the lap bars then having them release at random!

I was so bummed. I told my gf watch all these little things I know! and i told her we could ride in the front of the monorail. she was like no way!

then when i asked and they said they dont do that any more i was so bummed!
