I'm not sure if these are just a test or if it is here to stay, but there have been three (3) small, yet notable additions to Fantasmic at the Studios this week. These changes have played at both shows on Tuesday & Thursday so far.
1) When Mickey draws his sword to take control of his dream and defeat Maleficent, the sword is a little different, almost looks thicker. The sword shoots off the normal glittery spray of sparks, but then a small red flare shoots out toward center stage making more of an actual shot towards Maleficent.
2) When Mickey is standing on top of the mountain in the finale, there are red flare fireworks shooting continuously behind him for a few moments. These plain red flare fireworks have been upgraded to red flares with a glittery tail.
3) On the final musical note of the entire show, when all the lights on the stage go off, there is a sudden and very bright burst of white fireworks that shoot off from the edges of the stage. I must emphasize how FAST these last and how BRIGHT they are, literally lasting about 1 second.
Again, I'm not sure if these are new or just returning from the past, but its nice to see the improvements.
