Hi everyone!

Small MK Update

- Fall banners have gone up on Main Street and look beautiful, looks like Fall prep is starting early this year

- Castle lights are half complete, which sadly means that there is a crane up and obviously obscuring the beauty of Cinderella Castle

- Crowds were fairly low with everything maintaining 5 - 20 min waits until around noon when I left the park

Small Epcot Update

- saw the modified version of Illuminations last night (from inside Chefs de France). I couldn't hear the music but it definitely seemed like they cut the section where the globe would rotate out. There were more low fireworks and an interesting effect on the water. Picture the small points on the lake where little torches ignite towards the end, well there were huge sparkling fireworks shooting out of them, gold and looked like sparklers.

Small DHS update

- Toy Story Mania is still going strong, as of 9:25am yesterday fastpasses were already going from 11:55 to 12:55. They would jump a 5 minute interval every minute or so. As i stood in the 15 minute fastpass line it went from 10:35 to 11:35 >> 11:55 to 12:55. There is no longer a single riders line which I feel is ashame, this ride is a SLOW loader and both times I rode (with fastpasses as a single) i was given a half car all to myself.

FALL isn't for annother month! Christmas is 4 months away! Shheeeesh!
Are they going into overdrive or is it just me?

They have just over a week before the first Halloween party, so they've got to get going with the decor now. I agree though, its too early - its still summer!

Getting rid of single rider at TSM is stupid. I assume they're using the single rider line now for FPs?

I know. There's no way Im going to be able to ride this thing alot anymore, cuz I sure aint standing over 2 hrs or so in the regular line. And fp are a hit and miss.

It is sad that they can not fill a car since the "high point eggs" depend on two players working in tandem.

I was at WDW Aug. 18-23 and had the opportunity to ride Toy Story Mania twice -- once on Monday evening during EMH and the other Saturday morning at the start of EMH.

Asked a cast member where the single rider line was, if there was one. The cast member replied (Monday) saying the toy story single rider line was shut down for the evening (I rode mania at around 12:40 a.m.), and asked again as I took in the ride right after MGM opened at 8 a.m. Saturday. This time the cast member said there was no active single rider line and then went on to say Disney monitors the stand-by line and will add single riders to the fastpass line on an as-needed basis.

As for Toy Story wait times -- Monday at 12:40 a.m. -- about 20 minutes; Saturday right after 8 a.m. opening -- 12 minutes. But of course, it was only me. I was on a solo trip (again).

It's August and they're putting up fall/halloween decorations and the Christmas lights on the castle???

I hate to see them starting the "holiday" decor and events so early. MNSSHP is great, but wouldn't it be soon enough to start it at the very end of September, 1st of October? I would think the one month prior to Halloween would be stretching it long enough.

And although the lights on the castle are stunning, I'm not sure it's worth weeks of guests having to see a big ugly crane in MK.

Does anyone know why on earth they're putting up the Christmas lights in August?

I love the fall, so I like to hear its decor is going up.
As for the holiday lights, does anyone know if they are going to use them for the Halloween parties at all?

Last year, the first MNSSHP was Sept 14. This year, the first party is Sept 4 . It just might back into the end of August next year, but I hope not.

I only go in November so I am happy to hear that the fall decor is going up, and that the lights are going up. Cinderellas Castle is absolutely stunning when lit with those lights. But I understand where everyone else is coming from...I wouldn't wanna see that huge crane by the castle when I'm there either...it ruins pictures!!

I am really looking forward to TSM when we go...hopefully the hype and long lines for this wont be so bad when we're there.

I love fall, and am going for the christmas party this year, so I'm excited to hear that preparations are under way. But those vomitous lights all over the castle at Christmas are a real nightmare. I'm sure they could do something a little more tasteful than drowning the castle in nets of hideous LEDs.

Instead of covering the Castle with LEDs lights, they should use LED spot lights which they could get the same effect with and then not have to worry using a crane or anything.

And as far as them putting the lights on so early....Hoopla on Oct 3rd... hint...hint.. ;)
