 O.K. We have decided on April 22-29! How are times crowd and weather wise! Also I need some input! We are a family of five and we are looking at ASM family suites -vs- POR! Any help? We also need some places to eat! We are going on the dining plan, so no worries about expenses!

Well it was traditional that the weekend after T-day was the slowest. But word had gotten out thanks to the internet and they are now packed.

But Jan-April is usually pretty good. Just watch out for the holidays. And remember it rarely stays below freezing here, so just bring a med jacket and you'll be just fine. And most of the rides are walk on or maybe 30 min at most on Space Mtn and rides like that.

We went the first 10 days in April in either 2002 or 2003, can't remember, but it was warm (low to mid 80's) and very crowded. Don't know if that was the reason, but was told that April is a big spring break time. You'll have a good time no matter when you go.

Late April is usually less-crowded than early April (When Easter is in April, anyway), but WDW could always decide on a promotion (like free dining) that'll pack in tourists

The months of January, September and the first 2 weeks of December are usually the slowest times.

The week you picked in April should be resonably good this year because Easter is early in 2007. We have been going for our anniversary (April 24) for the past 8 years. The weather is great, warm, but not too humid. Crowds really depend on when Easter falls.

First week in February. Reason? Still value season, weather is fantastic and crowds are low. January can still be a little cool and the other value seasons are crowded or at inopportune times (ie. beginning of December), IMO

We always go the last week of January first week of Feb. Never any lines. If a water park is a necessity it is a little cold for that just hope for one really warm day

The first week or two in September are near-dead in attendance (in a relative sense), even factoring in the typical free dining promotion and the Labor Day holiday. I used the touring plans site to get a barometer of attendance levels when we plan vacations- seems fairly accurate. The day-to-day park advice is also very useful and quite accurate during our last stay (the number of people waiting at the bus stops generally reflected the advice given).

During our last stay a week ago, crowd levels were at the 6-7 range- very manageable in most respects.

The beginning of September has always been the least packed when I have had a chance to go. I can't imagine that January is that popular after New Years. Watch out for Februray due to President's Week!

I could give you dining sugestions until the cows come home. Here are a few of our favorites.

Liberty Tree Tavern - Dinner
Chef Mickey's - Any Meal
Crystal Palace - Any Meal
Le Cellier - Dinner
Sci-Fi Dine In - Lunch
Cape May Cafe - Dinner
Yachtsmen Steakhouse - Dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe - Breakfast
1900 Park Fare - Breakfast or Dinner

We did used to love to have dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table, but since they changed the menu, hubby won't step foot inside.
