Slight changes.....

If you could make one small alteration, to one ride, what would it be?

Small meaning you cant rip the ride down and rebuild it.

For me......Id make the second half of Big Thunder more exciting. The first half is pretty wild, but then after the dip where you think your going to have your skull crushed by the rocks, it falls off. It slows down, and there are no real good drops or anything. Its sort of anti-climatic. Id like to see one more big drop, fast turn, then having your train rocket full steam into the station finally ending with a teeth shattering stop.

Anyone else?

I would change part of the ending to Spaceship Earth. Once your vehicle turns around, the ride loses some of its spark... actually, it starts when you pass the little boy talking to the little girl in Japan (at least, I think it's Japan).
Manequins instead of animatronics? Strange diorammas?
I'm not too fond of that.

I agree and have before thought about SSE and how once you get past the earth scene at the top, you turn around and then the ride is pretty much just dark the whole way down. There's really nothing to see other than a couple of things here and there. Overall I still love it though and have found myself dozing off many times in that ride.

I also agree that BTMR is pretty anticlimactic. I have found myself actually bored on that ride.

I would make the drop in POTC bigger.

at Haunted Mansion I would flood the area with more trees so that the que line is more themed.

Peter Pan, Snow White I would definately do something to make these rides longer and worth more of the 1 hour wait for the 1 1/2 minute ride.

Keep the parks open later.

Im telling ya! I think this is the biggest thing! There is nothing like being in MK at night.

I know they talk about money issues being the reason but with all the money being used now for upgrading surely they can keep the parks open an hour or two later a night.

heck, Eride night used to be every night. The times Erides are open used to be the regular hours, but now they use the Eride money to help finance staying open later.

just to tell you the differences. I went to MK in 2002 and the park was open until 10:00 every night I was there and one night was midnight.

I went one year later this year at the same time and the MK stayed open no later than 8:00 pm and that was PEAK season.

i say

i say change the track to a banked track in SSE and put high speed cars on it and make that the rollercoaster in SSE.

keep everything the same, speed the music up and make the cars go pretty fast and send them around twice maybe? that would be cool! keeping all of the theming inside as well!

One more idea......there are a couple of area's in the Haunted Mansion that need more props. Going up the stairway is one of them and a better themed loading area too.

I also agree that Disney is Magical at night. Some of my fondest memories are of the park at night. Wake up early and stay until the park became crowded then head back to the hotel for a dip in the pool or a nap and then around 5pm head back. You still had 7 hours in the park after 5pm. We would stay until we were corralled back to main street where were would shop until 1am then head to the Contemporary game room for a few more hours of fun. Those were the days.

Walt Disney himself was quoted as saying that the park was most magical at night and that it was his favorite time to be there. I know its a money thing but come on they should at least stay open until midnight in the summer. I used to go in the summer because of the hours but now I use the coolness of the October night to enjoy my Disney trips :)

See you in October

As much as I don't like the prospect of closing Timekeeper, I would at least extend Space Ranger Spin through the old theatre. This way, you can add a small bit of queue space, a few more ride cars, a few more minutes (seconds?) of ride time, and cut down on the wait times, all in one. (Of course, I'd rebuild Timekeeper somewhere else.)

I would also add a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea portion to Fantasmic, with Captian Nemo fighting a huge squid, and then cutting to a preformer singing "Whale of a Tale" on stage, along with the Peter Pan sequence from Disneyland's version of the show.

Spaceship Earth - make the finale characters actual Animatronics...update the Global Neighborhood to suit more "EPCOTish" needs...

Wonders of Life - update the computer stations, refurbish Body Wars, refurbish and "update" Cranium Command...

Test Track - remove ENTIRE postshow...create a TransCenter style area with history of motion, including WOM historical references, along with "cars of the future," with AA shows (i.e. Bird and Robot from WOM)

Imagination - Gut the ride. Open the upstairs. Give 4 years to Imagineering to build a show-stopper.

Mission Space - gut the McDonalds area...create an adult/kid area...add space education and inspirational lines to the attraction. Make the queue area have scores, perhaps from Horizons, or original. Have space sets in the queue (i.e. Horizons)...cover up the speakers and air ventalation systems.

The Land - Well, nothing is gonna happen here! But, if I had the chance, make a new Food show.

Carousel of Progress - Redo animatronics, update final scene, add more musical score.

Timekeeper - Open UNseasonal

Country Bear Jamboree - Update animatronics, keep character qualities and soundtrack, update sound system.

Enchanted Tiki Birds - rid of Iago/Zazu, add Stitch, add Hawaiian flavor and crowds back.

IASW - add a "dome" feature so that we can't see the roof...same for Dino scene in UoE.

Alright, that's all for now.

 :D
