Is there a reason, other than money they never expanded it to the WL?
Marshy ground for the support pylons. Same reason the area between the TTC and Contemporary doesnt have a hotel on it.

Really? Once again, using the ski gondola in winter analogy, it can still get warm inside even with the windows open. I'll give Disney the benefit of the doubt that they've fully tested the temperature... but having ridden plenty of ski gondolas in my day, I can't help but wonder.
That’s what is being used. It works in all climates around the world. The handful of systems that have air conditioning don’t work well. London’s Emirates Line is a case in point.
Each leg of the journey at WDW is less than 5 minutes. So every 5 minutes the doors will open, rendering even a working a/c system pretty useless. This has been debated and nauseam on the Gondola thread. So much so that @The Mom banned it! There is no point in going over old ground over here.
That's a good point about the length. You walk around in the Florida heat for hours on end, and you can't sit in the heat (and still in shade) for five minutes to save a lot of walking in the sun?
I think that people should at least attempt it before discarding it.
You’re asking too much of the internet “fan” base. Why try something when you can just render an opinion on it?
I had a guy tell me flight of passage sucked. Really, why? After about 10 seconds it was clear he watched a video of the ride, not actually experiencing it himself.
