Would you watch it on a boat?

Would you watch it wearing a coat... Sam I am. 🤪

Sorry, I literally forgot this movie and thread after clicked Post Reply. Not following your question... sincerely. If I was on a boat I'd probably be watching the seas or ocean. If I was forced to watch a movie for some unknown reason, I'd probably pick Pulp Fiction or something like that.

Have you seen the trailer?

A Dog with a Blog ride would probably make more sense than Sky High... In general you don't make rides based on shows that most people never watched.

Oh, clearly not before now, but for the sake of fairness I spent the last 2:33 of my life watching the trailer. 😁 I still don't get the "boat" comment, but okay, I could see how it might be a mildly entertaining movie. In general I like Kurt Russell, so it's got that going for it.

Either Disney did an awful job promoting it, or it just wasn't very good. If unverified stats on the Google-machine are correct, it was the 39th highest box office grossing film... of 2005 alone. In 2005, 38 other films did better including Herbie Fully Loaded. 🤢 Not a good showing unless you consider 2005 a year of great movies. With a couple of exceptions, nope. I'm not judging anyone who likes the movie. Not at all. I'm a big fan of admittedly a number of real crappy movies, and will never admit which ones to anyone. 🤣 None of them are ride worthy in any park, Disney or otherwise. I'm gonna opine that Sky High is not a film worthy of dedicating a whole ride, or even a partial ride to. JMO though.

Disney made no merchandise for the film: no action figures, no video games, no jerseys, no posters, no fast food tie-ins, nothing. It’s like they didn’t even try. That’s the part that upsets me.

Wait, have you switched to the Dark Side? 🤪 With this comment, you basically rendered this thread moot. Thread closed. You're making my point. If they wouldn't even make a poster or action figure for it, why would they ever make a ride? Just sayin'.

Okay, another 60 seconds of my life... gone. 🤣 Just messin' with you.

I see your point about the opportunity for a thrill ride, but consider one thing... let's say you make a thrill ride of it. You're on a bus, strapped in, drive off the bridge, but then what? They don't pass anything noteworthy. There's nothing for people to look at outside the bus because it's all blue skies until they park at the high school. That's gonna be a short, uninteresting ride. The movie scene bus ride is about 60 seconds. What are you going to fill the ride with? Not sure about others, but I'm not wasting a FP for a 60 second ride.

Aside from those points, the movie just isn't big or worthy enough of a it's own ride. Your passion is compelling, but I don't see it. 😁

But that’s where we use our Imagination :)

Isn't there already a crappy ride about Imagination at Epcot? That's plenty, thanks. 😁

But don't you see? The whole point of an immersive ride is not to use your imagination. It's to put you into a thrilling situation because your imagination isn't enough! If you want to use your imagination, read a book. There's plenty of room for it in that activity. My book shelves are filled with Blu-Rays, 4Ks, and DVDs so I can use other people's imaginations. 🤪🤣

Rather than Duck Tales, I think Agent P's should be rethemed to Disney's second-ever PG-rated film...Midnight Madness.... ;-)
