Skull Island: Reign of Kong from construction to opening

I think they really get the perspective. With the backdrop it will look like the rockwork is larger and closer that it already is. Kong is massive? Huge?

I see others are complaining that it looks cheezy but when I first saw what they were doing (glad awhen had a long lens my phone was not cutting it trying to get a good picture of it) I went back to my days of working for a billboard company. See them up close and they don't look like much but at 600' away and 60mph they look really good.

This will be amazing.

Got some new pics of the area today. I wasn't able to visit for a few weeks and it is just amazing what can change in 3 weeks!

Here's some of my pics from today, and more are posted here!

These posts on top of the temple are what the human sacrifice is tied to in the older Kong films:

The mural on the backdrop is coming along nicely:

Here's the wall that separates the outdoor ride path from the outdoor extended queue:

Looks like Kong got some sharp fangs since my last visit.

That's all for now. Check out my blog for more. Even though we can't see what's happening inside the building, there's still a lot of interesting things happening outside.

Question, I have not been following along... Any idea what the ride is going to consist of yet? Is it going to be the USH version as a stand alone attraction?
