Can anyone tell me how far along the Skippers Canteen restaurant is. Supposed to be open in late 2015 is it still on schedule?

Yes on schedule for soft opening late 2015.
No info on ADRs yet, either when they will be offered, or when they will start taking them. I would expect it to be after the soft opening period.

Not sure what the food is going to be like but I can't wait to try this place when it opens. Jungle cruise skippers will actually be the wait staff. From the descriptions I've been reading, it's reminding me of the adventurers club. Obviously not 100% but the adventure theme and entertaining waiters will hopefully give it that kind of vibe.

Very curious to see the menu for this place, along with what's going to be offered for breakfast at Garden Grill!
Our trip is scheduled for late November. Hope it will have their soft opening when we are there. Looking forward to see what is on the menu.

I believe it's only going to be lunch and dinner. I read on Disney Food Blog that it is rumored it'll follow BOGs model-QS lunch, TS dinner. We shall see! Hoping to get an ADR for March if we like the menu.

That would be awesome. That really would draw me in. Anything with the staff entertaining even similar to the Adventurers club that adds to the atmosphere will make this place hop. Pleeeeeeease be open when I'm there.
Has anyone heard what type of food will be served, burgers,hot dogs, bbq or steaks etc?

I believe all I've read is a blend of African, South American, and Asian favors. Can't wait to see a menu as this will determine if we go after a reservation or not.

I wish they wouldn't do the whole BOG model, but just be a full service restaurant, the MK is still in dire need of more of them. BOG is such a zoo it would be nice to have something new where you dont have to wait in three separate lines before you can get a table.
