Well, guys, as some of you know (knew), I took a day trip yesterday (Tuesday, August 19th, 2003)... Lemme give you a rundown of my day:
We took the bus in... Due to a minor traffic incident, we arrived later than usual, but still "early"... Anyway, as soon as we got off the bus, we immediately made our way to L'Originale Alfredo's (since we had reservations there for 12:00 noon). We made it just in the nick of time to Alfredo's...
At Alfredo's, I enjoyed a scrumptious spinach salad with a balsamic vinegarette dressing, complemented with sliced pears, candied walnuts, and goat cheese! It was, how you say, "To Die For!" For my main entree I went with (what else?) L'Originale Fettucine Alfredo! Serving size was JUST RIGHT... I ate almost all of the delicious fettucine, leaving only a few noodles at the bottom of the bowl? Why? I was supremely STUFFED. But, of course, we had to have dessert! I went with the tiramisu! Fabulous! Light and delicate, the lady fingers melted in my mouth, and the marscapone cheese slide soothingly down my throat! The coca powder dusting provided a tang for my tastebuds.
Leaving totally stuffed, we proceeded to shop around a bit in all those stores. I bought some chocolates at a store near L'Originale Alfredo's. We browsed, and we shopped, and it was getting "late". We strolled around the "Center" one last time, then headed back to where our waiting bus would be to take us home. We were feeling just a little hungry at this time, since many hours had passed since our grandoise meal at Alfredo's. So, leaving the "Center" we decided to stop for a quick bite at the ESPN restaurant. I had a cheeseburger. Good, but I could only finish half of it. I was "just hungry" enough, but not starving, when I could have eaten the whole thing. I snapped a few pictures around where the ESPN restaurant is, then we had to go back to our bus (which was parked in the close vicinity to a building that had a restaurant called "Shula's Steak House". (I love steaks, but after that fettucine meal, I of course had to settle for a cheeseburger at ESPN.) We got on the bus and made our way home!
I'm downloading the pics I took right now!
In conclusion, it was a fun-filled day! I'd like to go back very soon!
