Simple... Pop vs French Quarter

If you spend little time in your room and you like saving money, POP is a no-brainer. We stay there often and like it very much. Do not get me wrong, I do enjoy deluxe and mods, but POP is surprisingly good. AoA is slightly better, but will not be discounted for awhile. I probably would avoid the All Stars if given the choice.

Good work on using the APs. We try to do the same when we get them. After our upcoming trip June, we will have logged 58 days in the 'World for 2012-2013.

Have a great trip.

$500 is a nice chunk of change to save.

However, sometimes you can close the gap from value to mod. Our last trip it was $20 more a day to stay at POFQ as compared to POP. We thought the extra $140 was well worth it. Don't no why exactly. Maybe room capacity % was low for POFQ or the travel agent just got a better deal some how.

I've stayed at Pop and Riverside...money is really the issue I guess. Although I've yet to stay at POFQ (only 27 more days until I've done that), all I have read and asked about, I'd say it may be worth the little extra in pricing for the more pleasurable experience of a smaller resort and easier bus system.

Having stayed at both Pop and POFQ, I just feel like Pop is cheap compared to FQ and/or the Riverside...plus you don't get as many little, crying, screaming kids...

The crowd at PO is also a little more friendly and desirable...most people at pop, I felt, thought they could make their own rules and do whatever they wanted based on the fact they have kids (as two couples so nicely told us as well)...

AofA was all sold out for the non family suite rooms.

I spend no time in my room, that's just a reality for us.

Plus, we will pack suits and maybe swim at the Poly! I never thought I'd say that I'd pool hop, but what's a guy supposed to do?!?? Lol

For me, the reason I drop $$$$ on deluxe hotels is access and not physical amenities. At the Beach Club I could care less about the room or its theme, the money is in the fact I can walk to the Boardwalk entertainment area, to Epcot, to DHS without stepping foot on a bus!

I was less impressed with Monorail resorts, especially since they were even more per night than the BC while only providing described access to one gate.

We've stayed at both POFQ and Pop. We like both resorts, but for $500 savings and the fact that we don't hang out at the resort that much, it's a no brainer. Pop all the way! Additionally, we've never had bus problems at Pop that we didn't experience at other resorts (and that includes deluxe).

I have stayed at Pop three times and only had one minor bus issue. For the price difference I would consider Pop. It's actually a favorite of mine because of the value and it has a really fun atmosphere. I know with the money I save I can do a lot more. I'd rather spend my money eating at fun places making memories. I have stayed deluxe multiple times and have never had ANY less fun staying at POP. It's the better of the value in my opinion. I havent stayed at AOA yet.

Its prices are really great I have a hard time staying anywhere else. Good onsite dining and room service is just as good as CB and CS

We stayed at Pop right before our cruise and will never again. The rooms are tiny and the walls are thin. People were out all hours of the night drinking with their kids running around screaming. In the morning there were beer bottles in the bushes and trash on the ground. Never again. We usually stay at POFQ.

Awww, I really like Pop century. We have stayed there many times, and it's a fun place. We found the transportation to be efficient also. We really like the '50s section facing the lake. It has easy access to the pool, plus the view is nice and it's quiet.

Well... For those curious about the Pop.

Woke up this morning, sheets covered in blood... Bed bugs. Great.

Instead of heading to DHS early and enjoying my day, I'm headed Walmart to buy all new clothes.

Holy crap! Did you request a room switch? I mean, to be fair, this can happen at any resort, but ugh.

Agreed. I'll be there in August and it is our first time at Pop. Have stayed at All Stars a bunch of time, POFQ, and CB twice and have never had a problem. While it sounds like a bad morning at least Disney is treating you and your family right. Enjoy your trip.

It's just weird because we have always stayed deluxe and on this trip we just wanted to save some money... And end up with this? I know it can happen anywhere but it's just one of those things, spend less and look what you get. Just a bad coincidence if you ask me. Other than that the room is fine, a little on the small side but totally fine if you treat it as a bed at the night. In my case it was just a dirty bed lol

We were staying at Pop in December till we found out Pop Warner football is that week. Changed our plans to POFQ! We like them both but noise and crowded food court and pool I'd rather pay more and stay where its less crowded. We are in our 60's no kids along!

Was this a "goof" up with Mousekeeping? Bloody sheets, room a wreck, can't imagine. Someone's job may have been lost if it was something Mousekeeping overlooked or mishandled.
