NOT ONE e-TICKET ATTRACTION UNDER 10 YEARS OF IGER. Disgraceful. No one can defend that.

But Iger did make this possible.

Iger is in charge of the company and not micromanaging WDW. CEO's set a direction that must meet board approval. In his tenure, Cars Land was created an opened at Disneyland, New Fantasyland and Disney Springs at WDW, Avatar is progressing at AK, DHS is being revamped with Star Wars and Toy Story lands, Disneyland is being revamped, new ships have been launched, a new park in Shanghai is nearing completion, and acquisition of the Star Wars / Lucas Film empire makes for a huge future gain. It's not like he's done nothing and not much done that would make a board or large shareholders wanting to remove him and there have been no noises of discontent in those two areas.

I'm not a huge Iger fan because of Epcot's current state, but there has been progress in other areas you have mentioned.

Iger Green Lit Midway Mania
But is Midway Mania really an e-ticket? In the context of DHS's current state, maybe, but in another park probably not.

I would argue that once a ride experience gets boiled down to a video game that anyone can play at home, then it is no longer to be considered an E-Ticket, regardless of whatever status it held before.

To be fair, although I wish the in-progress WDW additions had come sooner and that Epcot were being worked on, it makes some sense for Iger to have focused the P&R/Imagineering resources on the places that needed immediate improvements first: DCA, HKDL, and WDSP. Those required HUGE investments. It also made some sense for Disney to get into mainland China before the market was saturated (including with the upcoming Uni park there) and Disney crowded out.

We should remember foremost that if DCA, HKDL, and WDSP were not in the shape they were in when Iger started, we would have been much more likely to have received the WDW improvements much earlier.

So you're saying all those POV ride throughs on YouTube also take away their status?

Ground has not yet been broken on either Toy Story or Star Wars, and they're a loooooong way from completion...

Heck, Avatarland is still a long way from completion, too. I have faith that it will rock. But faith and hope only get you so far.
