Are these the rooms with the bed facing towards a wall as opposed to facing the bathroom??

Not the greatest picture of the a sideways room 5009 on the Magic.

This picture is taken from the entrance door.

You walk in and face the couch. Both the bed and couch face the entrance.

To the right of the couch on the same wall is the closet and across from it is the bathroom.

I believe the Dream/Fantasy do not have any of the 'sideways' rooms. But on the Magic/Wonder, yes.

They have the entrance from the 'wide' side of the room, rather than the narrow side like most rooms. On the wonder for example, Deck 5, the inside rooms on the Forward side are 'sideways', but the Aft inside rooms are 'normal' if you want to look at a deck plan to compare.

I've never stayed in one but people seem to find them roomier.

DF,

Question for you...

When we traveled on the Wonder 2 years ago...our headboard was on the right wall when you entred the room. Was an inside delux stateroom.

Last year on Dream with inside delux stateroom and virtual porthole the headboard was right under the porthole which put the bed with feet facing owards the room's entrance door - or straight on if you will.

Now this year on the Dream we opted for an outside dexux stateroom with real porthole. Do you know what the bed orientation is with this type of room?

THANKS!

The headboard on the bed in an oceanview room should be on the right or left wall. The couch will be on the same wall between the bed and the porthole. :)

Aren't the majority of the actual porthole oceanview rooms the ones with the window-seat things? I love those but Mr.Verandah-Man has to be able to walk outside...:lol:

We would really like to try a veranda room but I'm just not willing to chance a "group" of people with loud and noisy bad kids standing on their balcony yelling at the water 24/7 right next to our room.

Just not worth the risk...

THANKS!

We had quiet neighbors that we did end up meeting. Nice folks. I was always concerned we were going to disturb them, tho!
